I posted this on the Poly FAQ thread but no one answered, so I thought I might get an answer here... I've read some posts about slow bus service at the Poly and wanted to know if anyone just walks over to the TTC and takes buses to MGM, AK and DTD from there??? Just wondering if that would be faster or not...:confused3

we stayed at the poly in august and found the bus service to be great. never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. i don't know if i would bother with going to the TTC, as you have to figure in the walk time, and the bus stop is at the faaar end of the TTC from the poly. and also, you have to factor in that you'd wait at the TTC as well, since the buses won't necessarily be waiting. i'd probably figure it to be a wash, even if you didn't spend much time waiting for the bus at the TTC. but if you'd rather be walking than "waiting", you might want to try it out.

we just got back this afternoon.....

we were at Shades of Green, and frankly, found it MORE convenient to take the buses from the Poly. walking over to TTC was an extra five minutes tops from the Poly. going to Epcot(monorail) was worth the extra walk to TTC. Going to Downtown was far easier via the Poly. Never waited more than ten minutes at the Poly for a bus anywhere else, and never more than 15 at any of the parks to get back.

I would stick with getting the buses from the Polynesian. I have nothing to back this statement up however since the Polynesian shares bus service with the Contemporary and Grand Floridian, I would think with those Resorts combined there would be more buses that arrive faster then the ones that go to the TTC.

Thanks for all the responses - Looks like we'll just stick with the Poly buses. :)

The busses, though shared, were amazing during our stay. We never waited more than 5 minutes (I promise, we timed it). They were great. We did walk to the TTC to go to EPCOT, the walk was not bad - less than 10 minutes at a verrrrry slow pace.

yes it is faster to walk over to the transporatation centre as it is situated so close to the poly and you have more choice - quickest way is to walk past the samoa building and the quiet pool and you will come out at the TC Another way would be to hop on the monorail exit at the Magic Kingdom and catch the bus at the bus station here

That can not be done since the Magic Kingdom bus station does not provide buses to other parks or to Downtown Disney.

Sorry I forgot, it has been 18 months since I was last there.
