Poly 7 month availability

We were able to get standard view at the 7 month mark for September/October. I had to book each day after daily to get the full 10 nights we needed. All days were booked at 8 AM online.

We were not able to get Lake view and from what I've read, we were lucky to get what we did as dates filled quickly. Fall looks like a difficult time to get in at PVB.

I was searching the threads and I came across your post. It's crazy but we were planning on being down in Disney for our yearly trip on November 11th as well. We were going to stay at a Moderately priced non DVC resort as we're not DVC owners. Butttttttttt, we've wanted DVC for 2 years now. So we thought we'd just be reasonable and rent DVC points for out trip, through Davids rentals as well. Also for the Polynesian! Crazy! Anyway, I went throuh David's rentals (Just on May15th) and nothing! They said they didn't have anything open for November 11th-15th. (Were there longer, but stay the second half of the week with local family) So my guess is they just don't have points available.

I was wondering if you had any luck with Davids rentals at the Poly for your dates?

Congrats, BTW!!! I married a Disney fanatic and didn't know it until we went with our son 2 years ago. (I previously have been to Disney 20 of my last 26 years. I always told her she just had to see it and when she did, she fell in love as I've always been)

Hey Daren, OP here! Unfortunately no luck with David's or anyone else for the 7month mark for Poly. I didn't think it was going to happen though after all the posts I saw coming in talking about how it was a madhouse and anything for the fall needed fast fingers at 8am...which isn't really something that happens through rental brokers I think. Pretty disappointed but now its something to look forward to on our next trip and I'll be better prepared on how and when I book it. We ended up with a great deal for POFQ for this trip, and while not the Poly, I like the money we are going to be saving...more $$$ for Mickey bars now lol :teeth:

And congrats to you on bringing out your wifes inner Disney Fanatic!! Always nice to have a Disney partner in crime! My husband likes and enjoys Disney, especially the food, but is not hardcore like me.....yet. I'm working on it! lol :D

Also I think its awesome if you actually buy DVC! :cloud9:

OP: Just wanted to let you know, this past January I stayed at POFQ as well, (after staying DVC several times), and I was NOT disappointed. My oldest is asking to stay there again. We really loved the atmosphere and the small size of the resort. While I'm a bit spoiled to DVC resorts, I can tell you that POFQ was absolutely wonderful, so don't feel bad about missing out on the Poly! :)

we couldn't get Poly at 6.5 months out ( we are going September 10-16) we ended up with blt lake view as the next comparable location

well nevermind- saw you updated

We also stayed at POFQ this past March and loved it. Beautiful grounds and just such a relaxing atmosphere. Plus beignets every night can't be beat! I think you will like it very much.

Exactly at 7 months booked standard studio late October of '15 at Poly standard view. HAVE a backup plan ready to book "in case", then waitlist, but hopefully it will be available exactly at 7 months.:goodvibes::yes::

Hey OP! Yeah after doing some more fourm surfing, it was pretty clear that you need to be quick to book right at 7 months out if you want much of anything "in demand". Quite unfortunate for anyone trying to rent, especially during the fall.

Butttt, we did end up with purchasing DVC. It just makes sense for our situation. 100 points at SSR, direct through disney. We're looking forward to "garenteed" Disney vacations for years to come.

Anyway, our DVC sales rep was able to book us that 4 night stay at the Poly (11/11-11/15). So we're definitely looking forward to it!

My parents stayed at POFQ this past January and they really enjoyed it! Definitely a good choice from what they have said.

I definitely hear you about being better prepared. These final steps leading up to purchase have definitely raised and answered a lot of questions about booking and availabilities. Which was the only thing we never really considered (Not that booking at 7 or 11 months was/will be an issue for us).

Anyway, enjoy your trip! I'm sure it will be great!

Many of us added on at Poly with the goal being to stay there late Sept-early Dec. The location is great for MNSSHP, F&W, MVMCP, and CP. Very short walk to TTC makes it ideal for those using Disney transportation to/from both Epcot and MK.

It's likely to be much more difficult in the coming years. PVB sales showing up on the county web site from February, March, April, and May are the best 4 months of sales for any WDW DVC resort since AKV in summer of 2012. It's surpassed VGF's best 4 month stretch. That's impressive for a resort without 1BRs or traditional 2BRs.

We got four nights at 7 months last year, but couldn't get anything this year at 7 months in October.

We booked a lake view studio at the seventh month mark for week of July 4th. No problems at all, so I'd be optimistic!
How long for? I'd like to go for 2 weeks next July at 7 month mark, do you think I would have a good chance?

Couldn't get poly at the 7mo mark for dec 10-13. Waitlisted at 9am at the 7mo mark. It came through within a week.

Not sure if dec 10-13 is peak dvc season though.

One thing to note is that they had recently declared more units, so availability may have been quite skewed for that period this year. They had sold roughly 30% of Poly points, and declared units to bring the declared inventory to 66% or so of the resort.

As points continue to sell, the gap between points sold/units declared is again shrinking.

I agree with auroraborelis, that in January before the latest declaration was made only, 40 percent of PVB was available for booking and now 62% is available. It is possible that they opened up space at PVB because of loss of inventory at the remodeled resorts combined with the brisk sales at PVB.
