Which resort would be at the top of your list to visit during the Christmas holidays?

FYI: We are staying at WL :goodvibes and will be breakfasting at 1900 Park Faire in the GF :goodvibes They are tops on my list from last time!

Thanks,
penny

Animal Kingdom Lodge is as equally stunning as WL and GF. Boardwalk would be my second choice, but I don't think any of the resort Christmas decorations that I've seen so far equal AK, WL or GF.

We absolutly love staying at the WL at Christmas. We found The GF so beautiful to visit.

Disney CM's have told me that the WL is the prettiest of their resorts during the holidays.

I picked none of your choices

WL without a doubt is the best place to visit during holidays

I'm assuming since you are staying and WL and visiting GF you had no need to list those two resorts since you will already be there. (My two favorite Holiday resorts :goodvibes )

Literally, all of your choices are unique and have beautiful decorations. If you feel like you will not be able to visit all of them, then I would choose one of the Epcot resorts and walk to the other two...or other four if you want to see the Swan and Dolphin also. Volume...Volume..Volume. :rotfl:

I didn't vote but I have heard WL is the best for holiday decorations. I have not stayed there but have heard nothing but nice things about it. If I ever go around Christmas, that's where we'd stay for sure :)

Right! We are staying at WL and will be seeing GF when we dine there! :goodvibes

What makes the Beach Club so special?

Thanks,
penny

I have to go with WL and GF, both are absolutely beautiful, but totally different!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Of those you listed, I voted for the Beach Club. They have a wonderful gingerbread carousel, a beautiful tree, and other nice Christmas decorations.

If I had my choice, I would've voted for "all of the above" because I've enjoyed seeing the decorations at all the resorts. I agree with the other poster about adding the Swan and Dolphin to the list too. The Dolphin has a beautiful poinsettia tree, and the Swan has a nice gingerbread village.

The WL is my favorite resort at Christmas, but you'll be seeing plenty of that one since you'll be staying there! :)

Here's what you wanna do, and you can make it a special trip or you can just pop over one day when you are in Epcot, but visit both the Boardwalk and Beach Club.

Give your self some time to walk around the Boardwalk, take in the atmosphere, and then go into the lobby to see the decorations. Boardwalk has the best "traditional" Christmas decorations on property (red and green glass bulbs on Christmas trees and garland, that kind of thing) as well as an amusement park made entirely of CHOCOLATE. Way cool.

After you've enjoyed the Boardwalk take a stroll over to the Beach Club. It's a short (5 minute tops) walk. In the Beach Club lobby they have a carousel made entirely of GINGERBREAD and CHOCOLATE. This is very neat as well. While you are over at the Beach Club stop in at Beaches and Cream for one of the best burgers and sundaes on property in this old fashioned 50's style diner joint.

If you have time and you want to see more the Swan/Dolphin are a short stroll away as well.

If you happen to do this while coming from Epcot you will enjoy the stroll out the International Gateway, what with the various decorations and music piped around the area. If you have anyone in your party who likes boats you can hop one of the Friendship Launches and cruise your way over to the Boardwalk. Really, if you decide to grab a bite to eat at the Beach Club or perhaps a beer at the Big River Grill or ESPN Club yo could easily make a very fun three plus hour Holiday excursion out of the Boardwalk/Beach Club area.

IMHO the Poly and Contemporary are underwhelming in their Holiday decor, and I've never been to AKL during the Holidays (but maybe I'll have to check it out this year based on the recommendations.

I voted the Beach Club as that is where I will be over Christmas. Although I can't wait to tour all the deluxe resorts to see all the decorations.

Even though its not on the list, another vote for WL. :cool1:

:cool1: I voted for the boardwalk but I really enjoyed the dolphin last March. I am going to be at the swan the first week in December. Yahoo!!!!!

I think they are all nice, but do have a look at WL :earsboy:

I voted poly as we're staying there for part of our December trip - but I am from the uk, and it is cold here, so I'm looking forward to a sort of Christmas in Hawaii theme!

I also think WL has the most traditional Christmassy sort of feel and decor - but all the resorts are done out beautifully at Christmas. The tree at the Grand Floridian is also beautiful - and I would probably rate this a close second for holiday decor.

As for the other resorts - they're all lovely and worth visiting. I seem to remember the Boardwalk having lovely decor.

The only one i haven't visited in the holidays is AKL so I can't comment on that one.
