Great responses! I'm honestly surprised by the results so far, but I think it's mainly due to our family's personal preferences and touring style.
  1. I never expected so many for Adventureland! (For us the only E-ticket ride is Pirates, and that's not even in our top 5, but almost)
  2. I'm surprised how relatively close the four "lands" are.
I think there are a lot of traditions and nostalgia built into these choices (it is for us) :). Like others have said about the music, for us the sounds of Tomorrowland just bring a sort of excited, giddiness and happy familiarity to the start of our day. (I also feel the same way about the Future World music at Epcot)

You forgot one, Main Street. This is where my wife and I greet the Magic Kingdom, get our first view of the castle, our senses are awakened by the smells and sounds of what we like to call the "We're Back" feeling. You have characters, sometimes the babershop quartet singing, possibly a parade, the shops, popcorn, a candy treat. I also get my Mickey ice cream from the vendor just as we enter the park. Sitting on the rocking chairs and watching as families first enter the park. We spend at least an hour just on Main Street. I should point out that my wife and I are in our 60's, we go now without children or grandchildren. We don't do fast passes because we choose to slow down and really enjoy the "Park" rather than rushing from one ride to the next. Yes, I have been there with children many times and I understand the need to keep the kids happy. We have found that just the two of us, we can now slow down and really enjoy all the park has to offer at our own pace. My vote goes for Main Street because that is where the Magic truly begins.

While I like your post and agree about the magic of Main Street, it was intentionally left off because 100% of guests have to do Main street. You can't get to the other lands without it. (I suppose you could hop on the train, but I doubt many guest do that at park opening). The "old" walk down Main Street is one thing I think I'm going to really miss on our next visit though. I haven't visited since they started opening the park early and having the welcoming show at the castle instead of out front of the park. Part of that morning magic was seeing the opening show, then walking up main street with the music playing and all the CM's waving with the big Mickey gloves... and seeing the castle, with all excitement going on around you...

We do almost always do Fantasyland first to do Peter Pan with no wait and 7DMT, then we go the direction of our FP+ from there.

Either Fantasyland or Main Street depending on how you look at it

If I'm rope dropping, I am actually there for Welcome Show - it's not something I just happen to see but something I make a specific effort for. Then I will generally go to meet princesses, and then back to Main Street for Trolley Show

If I miss rope drop/have a later start, then Main Street is my goal - Trolley Show or Friendship Faire is what I'm there for

I can honestly go a full day without visiting any of the park outside of Main Street/Fairytale Hall

Tomorrowland for sure. It is quick and easy to get to, has a good number of attractions and just naturally flows (counterclockwise) into Fantasyland or Storybook Circus where you can continue the rest of your morning (and fast passes). Plus some of those attractions (Buzz, Space Mountain, Speedway) you want to hit early before it gets busy.

Fantasyland! And it's the only one we always visit at least TWICE in a trip!

Fantasyland - we rope drop so we can get the most rides in the shortest amount of time in that area. Peter, 7DMT, LM, Pooh then off to Haunted Mansion and around to BTMRR and Pirates. We will the rest in from there as that is normally around 11am so we have plenty of time left!

Always Fantasyland. PP at RD, then knock out the rest of the Fantasyland attractions in the first hour or two.

We always start in Fantasyland to get those rides in before the lines get long. We do go to MK twice each trip. We tend to do tomorrowland and Fantasyland on one day and then the rest of the park on the second day but we still start in FL.

At WDW, it is almost always Frontierland first - with Big Thunder, Splash nearby, etc. At Disneyland in California, it is almost always Tomorrowland first (but I far, far prefer their Space Mountain to the one at WDW).

Fantasyland. We usually have FPs squared away for Mine Train, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain (but only 3 of these of course). So we usually hop on Peter Pan first (since that's at least an hour wait later in the day), then Winnie the Pooh and Haunted Mansion. We knock those three out before our first morning FP. The rest of the time we are just checking to see which rides have the shortest wait times between our other two FPs. Then once the FPs are all done we add an additional one as soon as we can :)

Just me/dh, tomorrowland first. With the kids, it is fantasyland.
