Now, I voted before I read the remaining part of the thread, just so you know I'm not just following suit. I've gone for No. 1 too!

It's beautiful, what I consider a prom dress. I had one similar for my college prom, I adored it!

I love the black dress, I think it is absolutely stunning but agree ... perhaps it's a bit 'old' for a prom dress, very striking tho. My vote goes to number 1, it's fun and very girlie

Another vote for No. 1, the colours lovely, especially if it actually comes with the black netting underneath. Also think the black one is too 'old' for a teenager, the other two are more suitable for someone younger like your DD.

I actually chose the black one, Sian didn't like it and I must admit it is something I wish I could wear myself.

I take it she liked it once she tried it on? Obviously it shouldn't be in the running unless she loves it - she won't enjoy her prom unless she feels gorgeous in her dress.

I do actually like all the dresses (and some other similar ones which come up via those links), but having looked at them again, the black one definitely says "cocktail dress" rather than "prom dress". That's not necessarily a problem, though, if she loves it.

Actually, Deb, she still didn't like it when she tried it on - she said it makes her look fat. To be honest, the only reason I put it in there was to gauge other people's opinion on it as I wasn't sure if I was being biased because I like it. Obviously, as Sian doesn't really like it still now, it won't end up being 'the one' but maybe I'll lose enough weight that I can justify buying it for myself
