POLL:What's your fav ship & itinerary and WHY?

Just wondering why western over eastern on the fantasy?
I think that I like the western a little bit more over the eastern. Why, I've never had a bad snorkeling experience on Grand Cayman, and I LOVE the zip lining (and other activities) at XPLOR park "in" Cozumel (Playa del Carmen on the main land).

In the Eastern Caribbean you've got 2 sea days to get into that Cruising Frame of Mind. I've enjoyed going over to St. Johns for snorkeling, and in the past the Magic made a stop on St. Croix (for one season i think) - Snorkeling at Buck Island there (not the buck island near St. Thomas) was awesome. And now the Fantasy is making regular stops in Tortola. We went to the Baths on Virgin Gorda and had a great time in the "caves" and in the water at Devils Bay.

So really on the Fantasy it is a toss up between Eastern and Western itineraries. I have NOT been on the Fantasy when she made stops in Puerto Rico or Jamaica, but I think those would be good additions to whichever itinerary (east or west) they were a part of.

We have sailed on all but the Wonder. Really, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the ships but our favorite is the Fantasy. We love the 7 day itineraries (especially the Eastern with all those at-sea days). Love Satellite Falls! We're hoping for a little bit of a change in 2017 with Tortola thrown in the mix.

Last summer's, 9-night DCL Magic Norwegian ports cruise. It was pure magic! They aren't even doing this same itinerary this year, so I'm so, so glad we got to do it!!

We much prefer the Classic ships, Wonder and Magic. We have two favorite favorite cruises. The first 10 night Southern Caribbean and the first Hawaii cruise. We enjoyed the 2005 EBPC cruise but got bored quickly with the locks so we have no desire to do it again. The more sea days the better for us. We like the smaller more intimate ships. The Fantasy and the Dream are fine, however. We pretty much cruise for the itinerary rather than the ship.

I've only sailed twice, 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy and 5 night Double Dip Bahamas on the Dream. I liked the Double Dip cruise way better and was really bummed that they were not offering the same itinerary again in 2016.

I like whichever ship I am on at the time. However, my favorite spot would be at Satellite Falls, so that gives an edge to the Fantasy. I also like the atrium in the Fantasy way more. I would say I like the Western Carib better (calmer seas and warmer weather overall).

We have been on the Wonder and Magic, out of the two, I prefer the Wonder. My favorite cruise is the Panama Canal just because it is two weeks (still seems too short!!!), but my favorite destination was Alaska. It is so beautiful and awe inspiring.

I've sailed on all the Disney Ships and even done a few of the specialty cruises as well. It's a difficult decision but I guess my favorite ship would have to be the Disney Magic and my favorite itinerary would be the Westbound Transatlantic Cruise (WBTA). I've done the WBTA cruise twice five years apart which different ports and I look forward to doing it again. It's my favorite itinerary because of all the sea days.

We were on that EBPC cruise and it was a long day - it took "forever" to get through the locks. We did the WBPC a few years ago and they moved the ship through the entire process from entering the first locks to exiting the last one by at least 4 hours quicker AND we spent an hour or more anchored in the lake. Without the anchorage, it would have been 5 hours quicker.
