Which do you prefer for lunch on Embarkation Day? Is there any difference between the menu? We've always gone to the buffet at Topsiders. Was thinking about trying Parrot Cay this time. Does Parrot Cay have a buffet as well or is it sit down?

:goodvibes It is a buffet, I have seen some things I have not seen at Topsiders. I just find the whole atmosphere a little nicer, added to the fact that we eat at Topsiders ALL week long for lunch..... I love to start with the buffet at Parrot Cay....

OOH boy...I am getting Hungry...

We always eat at Parrot Cay. Topsiders can be kind of noisy that first day. Parrot Cay is a little more relaxing.

Topsiders. As a matter of fact we ate all of our breakfasts at Topsiders. We enjoyed the views!

Our first cruise we ate at Topsiders for embarkation day, the past two cruises we ate at Parrot Cay. We enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere of Parrot Cay and will continue to have our embarkation lunch there for future cruises.

We like to arrive early & head to Topsiders/Beach Blanket, get our food, sit outside and watch the cars coming into the terminal & start planning our fun!

We like the Topsiders buffet because we like to grab a table by the Mickey pool. After we eat, DS gets a chance to go in the pool with no crowds before we leave port.

For a more quiet lunch I would go to Parrot Cay.

:wizard: We went to topsiders, because we had a large group of people and it was easier for all of us to fit in there. It was a little noisy, but it was very nice and goofy and mickey both came out while we were eating. It is nice because it is on the top so you get to explore the boat a little before you eat.

We went to Topsiders the first cruise & Parrot Cay on the last one. We will be going to Topsiders from now on. They do not have chicken fingers at PC so I had to run up to TS to get some for DS since that & hotdogs are the only foods he will eat. Just an FYI if you have picky kids.

We will only go to PC from now on. We did not like the fact that you have to search for a seat and stand there waiting for a table to emoty with your tray of food. If you go to PC they seat you.

Porthole table in Parrot Cay is the only way to go IMHO ;)

I love the opportunity to sit outside, especially when the weather has been bad at home. :sunny:

With 2 little people in our group, it sounds like PC is the best choice for us. I can't imagine waiting for a table trying to manage a lunch tray and a little child. Especially a hungry child. I just picture giving them bites of their lunch, we finally get a table, they're done with their meal and ready to explore while the rest of us want to eat.

Thanks for the info. Every time I visit the boards, I learn something new.

I'm driving my family crazy. I'm glad I can share my excitement with all of you.

Definitely liked going to Parrot Cay better. It is more relaxing, quieter, seemed more air conditioned, not as hectic, and we were seated instead of having to wander around a room with a tray in our hands asking "is this seat taken?"

Parrot Cay is our choice. We have done both and it seems that Parrot Cay isn't as busy and honestly the food is better- especially the coffee when I was too lazy to go up to the Cove for my morning espresso. Beats that Nescafe anyday at Top Siders. I must preface this by saying we were at breakfast pretty early, as we are early risers.

We find the buffet line at PC to be less "linear" than BBB (only been on the Wonder). i.e. Get your table. Go to the buffet. Easy to skip over the salads and go straight to the part of the buffet that interests you (as long as you aren't "cutting" and there is actually a gap, which there usually is). Sandwiches to one side. Desserts on a different buffet. So multiple trips (which we always make with little ones) are much easier. BBB has everyone going through a straight line buffet as they walk through the door without a lot of room for browsers, even with the gap in the line.

Parrot Cay!!! But my DH has gone back later to topsiders for a quick snack :rotfl: while I was unpacking!
