I have been floating this around for a few months and can't pen my Oct. schedule down until I get this settled. What do you do? Do you go to the park with EMH every morning or do you purposely go to another park with hopes of it being less crowded? Or , do you do EMH in the morning and hop to a less crowded park in the afternoon? ( This later idea was what I had initally thought of, but then won't that take up too much time?) Thanks for your ideas.:bounce:

We always use EMH for MK and MGM, as so much can be accomplished in these parks before the public is admitted, also, it is cooler at that time.

We haven't found it necessary to use it at either Epcot or AK, although if you like to ride Kilomanjaro early when the animals are more active, going during EMH is a really good idea!

My DW & I used to do this, but we've reached the point where we usually opt to sleep in, then go to a non-EMH park. As Eeyore0062 said, EMH for Epcot is practically useless, unless you want to ride Spaceship Earth or wander through the few shops and Innoventions exhibits that are open. AK is good for the Safari ride, because later in the morning and afternoon, the animals are less active/visible. MGM has several rides open and you can also arrange last-minute PS for 50's or Sci-Fi when you first get in. EMH is almost required if you plan to visit MK.

I would say if you have children, EMH is a great deal.

We skip it. My family cant get up that early on vacation. We like to sleep in a tad til atleast 9 or 930 then hit a park. We normally go in off season anyway so it never really makes a difference. If I were to go in peak season I might consider it.

I'm with Eeyore 54. If you can get everyone up at the crack of dawn, and you are determined to squeeze in as much as possible, go for it.

We are typically early risers, so EE really works for us. We have historically visited in late Oct, early Nov. so the heat wasn't an issue but the parks early closing hours were. So EE worked in that way, giving us an extra hour on opening.
Now, we go down in 2 weeks. The heat/humidity is going to be opressive. So, EE for MK and MGM and maybe AK. Then back to Polynesian at lunchtime to a swim, lunch and a little down time. Then back to a different park for late afternoon/early evening.
We've found EE doesn't work for Epcot either. But MK and MGM it really helps, especially if you have little ones who want to do Fantasy Land!!!! Dumbo with no huge wait is heaven!!!

I would recommend taking advantage of early entries whenever you can. Our family always has, and it makes a tremendous difference. You can knock off several major attractions before the off-site guests start arriving. Then as things get sticky, you can leave the park and do something else. Go back to your resort, dip in the pool or park hop. I think it's a major perk of staying on property, and someone at Disney finally saw the light and reinstated this great perk!! We're going back in two weeks and are thrilled that this benefit is back. It wasn't the last time I went, and I really noticed a difference in my touring.

We only use EMH for MK. We can get all the rides in Fantasyand done, many of them multiple times, and get outta there before it gets jam packed with people and strollers later in the day.

After we do the rides we do lunch at LTT around 11:30am and leave the park after that for a swim & nap at the resort. In the evening we go to a different park.
