Packed today and I LOVE the packing cubes. They look small but they hold a lot. I was able to pack all of my and DD's clothes, toiletries and the other half of our FE stuff, plus shoes in one large suitcase.

I am a big fan of packing cubes. I have a different color for each member of the family. I unzip the cubes and put them either right into a drawer or onto a shelf. I have various sizes of the ebags brand.

We use ebags as well. We each have a different color and even though there are 4 of us and take 4 giant suitcases we each put things in each of the suitcases. That way if 1 suitcase gets lost we all still have some of our stuff instead of 1 person having nothing. Out of the 4 of us, I'm the only one who just unzips the bags and puts them in the drawers or the hanging closet organizer one of the other posters referenced.

The only things I take out of the ebags are my shoes and suit, dress shirts, vests and ties.

I also use them for overnight trips too, just throw my stuff in an ebag then into a backpack and I'm good to go. Love ebags!

I think packing cubes weigh too much, so I typically use zipped mesh bags meant for washing lingerie that I buy at the dollar store. The bags work great for separating socks, undies and other things that won't wrinkle. -- Suzanne

Do the dollar store bag zippers hold up well?

that's interesting. I have all my cubes folded and packed into one medium sized one. I have three different colors and lots of the bags in each color. I can lift the cube that holds them all with my baby finger. they are literally as light as a feather, imo.

Has any tried the flight 001 space pack system. I trying get some feedback. Www.flight001.com

I just bought and used the Flight 001 Seat Pack. I loved it. It was great putting all the things I use during a flight in one place (gum, chapstick, Kindle, ear buds, etc. It fit right in the seat back pocket (says you can hang it from the tray clip but on my United flight it wouldn't hang).

Absolutely loved it:

I travel a lot and have been using packing cubes for years. I keep them in my suitcase between trips. When I get to my destination, I unpack and hang up some clothing to let the wrinkles out, while underwear, socks, and polo/golf shirts stay in the cubes and go into drawers. If I'm checking luggage I will pack one cube with a complete change of clothing and put it in my carry-on

In the past I've also used ziplock bags and even plastic shopping bags, but I like the cubes much better.

I have been using the packing cubes for a few years now. I like the ebags ones and I just purchased some more from Amazon with Prime. Got them in two days and they are the same ebags ones at the same price.

I have a variety and like the large ones for my blouses and shirts. The medium ones for my swimwear and the small ones for underwear, scarves, socks, etc. I also use the slim ones for electronic plugs and gadgets.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST ON THE MARKET!!!

We have used them since their inception and been around the world with them countless times. As an entertainer spent 50 out of the 52 weeks in a year on tour traveling and living in hotels for 10 years (we have tried just about ever packing cube to hit the market)...these made travel stress free, quick, and easy.
living out of a suitcase is hard to do...and it's only a matter of time before you forget something at some random hotel...at some place you can't remember the name of the town. The rule is never to unpack anything to help minimize loss

The spacepak system makes it so easy to live out of a suitcase and keep everything organized and easy to locate via the color code system.

plus having the dedicated sides (one for your clean clothes...the other for dirty ones) is PRICELESS

they work like those ziplock type compression bags
so you can pack allot of items into one bag...yet the spacepak cub takes up little room when stuffed

the system works well together to maximize every inch of your suitcase.

we have multiples of each item in the system(some no longer in production) ...so if you have any questions just ask

will try to post some photos so you can see them (if we remember to)

what's the difference between "Never" and "I use nothing"?

i never use packing cubes could mean i have them but don't use them. i use nothing means i don't use either packing cubes or zip locks.
This should be clarified in the poll. It is confusing to see two answers that - at first glance - seem to mean the same thing.

now that's interesting! I'm for sure going to look at these more closely. as it is now, we have a black set of e bags for the dirty clothes. your idea may be better. i'll have to think about that.....

Hi Orion2185- Would I need 1 or 2 sets fora 2 week trip to Europe. I think they flight system would be a good investment.

I'm not a fan of packing cubes. I usually do skivvy rolls if the clothes are non-wrinkle or if I will need to iron/steam/wrinkle-remover them regardless. I find it saves more space.

That's how I fit seven days worth of clothes in a regular size backpack which while not necessary for a cruise is useful in general.

I am not sure of the difference between the "never" and "I use nothing" poll options, but both of them apply to me. I just pack my suitcase and live out of it. The only vacation I ever unpacked clothes on was my NCL Alaskan cruise because those rooms are so much smaller than Disney, and there was no where I could store the suitcase where it was easily accessible to get clothes out every morning.
