Okay men...lets see what you are made of. Your wife/so is tearing out carpet and padding in your bedroom. What do you do?

Poll coming...

Ladies, you can answer this on behalf of what your DH/so would do.

Take her temperature. Because she must be ill for doing it herself rather than making me do it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

my doofus husband would do number 2. he's done things like that before.

That sounds like something my DH would do! At our house - I leave all the "honey-do" work to him! I just make the list! :teeth:

I guess he's lucky he didn't take my temp...I would have punched him in the mouth... :rotfl2:

my guess would be to start going off on me, what on earth am I doing, etc, etc. Then he would take over the project, ostensibly because he is stronger, but really because he doesn't want to be stuck watching our 3 year old and 18 month old twins all on his own. lol. they scare him sometimes.

"other"

My Dh would have to pick this. To start he would offer to help, but if I yelled at him to let me do it, then he would leave me alone.

My wife would just start it and not tell me what she was doing, so she could complain to the other yentas in the neighborhood how I never help her.

If it needed to be done, he would do it, I wouldn't have to.

I would sit back and have some breakfast and enjoy the show. The reason I say this is because, if it needed replacing we would have already talked about and someone would have been brought in to do it faster, and more importantly correctly. Second, if we didn't talk about it, that means she has something up her sleave or no real good reason to be doing....so have fun!!

lol

another TRICK QUESTION!

I would TELL dh to do it...
(and he would procrastinate)
then I would threaten that if he didn't get it done by x'o'clock on x date then I was going to HIRE someone to come do it and pay them with HIS money -
so then he gets it done :goodvibes

Well, I think I can gues what your big oaf did. (is that what you called him?) :rotfl:

I would stand there and give her pointers on how it should probably be done then I would leave the house for a couple days till she cooled off and wouldn't kill me LOL.

That is exactly what my DH would do and THEN he would go watch TV.

Apparently great minds think alike or is it that all men share one brain. Speaking for my DW she would vote the latter LOL.

DH *never* does what I need him to do aroudn the house n a timely fashion, unless of course its something HE wants for himself. :( I do so love my husband, but that is one trait I wish he'd lose, and pronto.

Last winter we had the hideous problem of MICE in our house. I'm a freak about cleanliness, and I was convinced that they were there because of the nasty rug we had in our playroom that really needed to be pulled up. I asked him to do it 3 TIMES and he ignored me. So when he got home from work he was a little taken aback to see me with a crowbar in my hands, ripping the carpet out of the floor. :earseek: Ooooooh, I still get FURIOUS when I think of it. :earseek: I also ended up renting a sanding machine and I sanded and refinished the hardwood floors that were underneath. All the while he did nothing and thought it was my problem since I'm a freak about cleaning. :(

I was just in a tizzy about this two weeks ago, I wish I had something on the boards because I was so upset. We had our annual labor day party, and I was preparing for it. This meant I bought and prepared all the food, cleaned and scrubbed the entire house and patio, painted a sign for out front, made all the centerpieces and did all the decorating. I asked him to do 3 things. One was to go to the liquor store, second was to scrub the upstairs bathroom, and third was to select the music he wanted to play. Came home after 8 hours of running around getting stuff only to find out he had done NOTHING but listen to music all day. :earseek: Yup, you heard that right.....he devoted 8 hours to selecting the music he wanted on CD for the party, and that was it. I went into meltdown mode and he high tailed it out of the house to the liquor store. I hate that I have to get that way to get stuff done.

Ahhh, sorry for the vent. Aren't you glad you asked beastlover? :rotfl:

My ex would of wtached me do it.

My DH would eat his breakfast and watch, then once he was done, he would ask if I needed help.. I would then of course be mad and say Not anymore.. and he would say something like well you didn't ask for help so I assumed you were fine. :earseek:

My dh would have offered to help me. He is very good about helping around the house.
