Florida doesn't put women to death, there have only been a couple women who have ever been executed in the state.

If she is found guilty, I do not believe she will be sentenced to death.

While I believe she had something to do with it, the state does not have a smoking gun and its entire case is circumstantial.

There's a reason she didn't want to testify and I'm sure her legal team also told her not to. There are so many stories out there including the various things she's told that she has no credibility at all. Unless she got on the stand and confessed, no one would believe any of the stories she and her family have told. They are a really dysfunctional family but none of that is a reason for what happened. I know a lot of people have a hard time believing a mother could kill her own child, but there are many cases where it has happened and not always to a depressed/mentally ill person. Some people are just so narcissistic and unable to see beyond their own wants that they can justify anything they do to anyone.

Guilty!!!!!! If the child drowned, why wouldn't you call an ambulance or police to see if she could be revived. Why would you "cover up" a drowning. Don't believe it for a minute. Casey (refuse to call her a mother, because IMO she was not one), was out nightclubbing constantly. They said the grandparents weren't watching the grandaughter. Where was this poor, innocent child? When they show pictures or movies of this child, it brings tears to my eyes. If you didn't want her, why not give her up for adoption and give her a chance at life. So sad.

I think the prosecution has proven that:

A. Caylee died with duct tape over her mouth or had duct tape applied to her mouth shortly after death.
B. The only person who could have had knowledge of this death and could've caused the death was Casey Anthony.
C. Casey Anthony lied about Caylee's whereabouts many times, claiming the child was with an imaginary nanny; thus, as Caylee had to be somewhere. . .

If I were on the jury, I would vote for either 2nd Degree or Manslaughter and Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child, Aggravated Child Abuse and False Information to Law Enforcement Regarding a Missing Person.

(And yes, yes I do have that great chart from Dewittlaw.com in front of me! Thank ya'll for that!)

I personally believe she is guilty. I have followed the trial a little but I remember following the story a lot more when Caylee first went missing.

Yes, I think she is guilty. When I first started following the story 3 years ago, I figured that Casey gave Caylee chloraform to make her sleep, so she (Casey) could go out partying, and that she accidentally gave her too much, and she died.

For awhile, I wasn't really sure what the duct tape had to do with it.

But after hearing the prosecution's case, it seems like the tape was very deliberately placed on Caylee's face. In fact, 3 pieces of tape. That had to be deliberate. I do think she was given chloraform first, and the tape was placed on her after that.

I thought the prosecutions rebuttal today was right on. And the ending, showing the photo of Casey dancing, and the photo of the tatoo....pretty much said it all, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think Casey was 100% involved. My personal opinion is that grandparents were watching Caylee and there was an accident of some sort. I didn't like the fact that the entire car smell thing was covered up. Surely, as a detective, you can smell the difference between dead body and trash. Something just doesn't make sense to me at all. I truly believe there is a lot more to this story. It's not cut and dry like that Susan Smith woman or Andrea Yates . . . this case is baffling to say the least. I think everyone has something that aren't sharing, but, again, it is just my personal opinion.

It's just easier for people to paint the bad mother picture against Casey, then to truly look into the facts of what was and what wasn't covered up. Who's to say that Casey was even home at the time Caylee disappeared? She was a party girl, didn't want a child, probably never took care of her child at all. In my opinion, the grandparents are hiding something.

Here in Central Florida, we have lived through this case for the last 3 YEARS.
There is NO WAY that Cindy knew anything about that baby until at least 2-3 weeks went by and Casey was giving her Mother all kinds of excuses.

Cindy coddled Casey and deep down knew she was a liar. George had wanted to be tougher with Casey, but Cindy would always tell him to back off.
We are friends with a few people that know Casey well and what a party hearty kind of girl she was. She has been a problem since high school because Cindy let her get away with whatever she wanted.

George tried to commit suicide over this whole thing. There is no way he tried to cover anything up.

When the parents picked up the car from Johnsons towing, they surmised Casey had done something and did try to clean up the car, Cindy washed Casey pants and a few other things that were in the trunk, and they aired the car out. Looking back, when they saw how Casey was treating them in jailhouse videos and her behavior when she was first bailed out of jail, Cindy and George realized they should have just called the police to take the car.
George even went to OCSO on the QT without Cindy's knowledge and told the cops he thought Casey was lying to them and that Cindy just could not accept that their Grand daughter may be dead at the hands of Casey.

I believe that she had everything to do with it, but I agree. She will not receive the death penalty.

I absolutely agree. All you have to do is listen to Cindy's initial call to 911 and hear the panic and fear in her voice. That wasn't fake.

I'll just be so happy when it is over! I'm so tired of hearing about this 24/7 on every local channel. There are more important things happening in the world!

Casey was the last one to be seen with Caylee. I have followed the trial every single day and after listening to all the facts she is guilty guilty guilty.

Not a doubt in my mind that she is guilty! I don't believe it was an accident either.

I was convinced of her guilt from the moment it was discovered she waited 31 days to even report her daughter missing...and even then it was only because Cindy reported it! NO mother would ever think of not reporting their child missing and going out partying instead if they were innocent. Add all of the other strange things Casey has said and done and it all points to her being guilty, IMO.

Dh thinks it will be a hung jury though. I really hope not. Caylee was only a couple months younger than my dd and I had just had my ds when all of this first made the headlines so it has been very emotional to me to listen to/watch.

This whole trial has felt like a circus to me and I really hope little Caylee gets the justice that she deserves!

Guilty.

I remember seeing one of the jail videos of her talking to her parents and it was ALL about her.. and how she was in jail, yadda yadda.

Any mother who just lost a child would be BESIDE herself hysterical over the loss.. This girl is ALL about her!

I voted guilty, but not necessarily of all charges.

I think that the State proved beyond any reasonable doubt that Casey provided false information to law enforcement (claimed she worked at Universal in 2008, had a babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, claimed that she told fictional Universal employees Caylee was missing before her mom called 911, and said she had phone call from Caylee on July 15 - a month after her "accidental death."

I think she is absolutely guilty of aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse because she was the last person to be seen with a live Caylee, and Caylee is dead. I also think that the defense failed to create reasonable doubt that chloroform and duct tape were used on that child and they caused her to die.

My gut tells me that she committed First Degree Murder but I'm not sure the Prosecution proved it beyond reasonable doubt. Little Caylee could have been accidentally suffocated.

It is up to the jury now. I wish them luck.

:thumbsup2 My thoughts exactly.

In one of the taped jailhouse phone conversations, she said something that stood out to me. And you guys may have discussed it. Her parents were crying and Casey, not crying said "It's ok, she'll be ok" and not "we will find her". The wording just was off to me.

Guilty + sociopath.

It will not hurt my feelings if she gets the death penalty.

Jeff Ashton said it best.

Who stages an accident to make it look like a murder?

Guilty....she is so heartless and cares only about herself. Something is "up" with the entire family, just a very mixed up family :sad2:
