Poll inspired by the ancient one. importance for resort choice.

Theming is really important which is why we prefer WL, AKL to something like SSR or BLT. Pool is really important now with kids and location. We prefer something with options to bus service (boat, monorail, walking)

Theme, location and pool were the three that I picked. When it's theme that's most important, we would be at AKV or VWL. Location is usually the most important when I go to the Flower show or NYE, and then it's BWV or BCV. I really like SAB, but also the Springs pool at VWL, as well as SSR's pools.

Don't really know how the tree houses fit into the scheme, maybe theme, but our next family stay is in one of those!

As mentioned before, a pool is a pool, (but still love SAB), and it's not too often that we rent a car. Many of the restaurants we go to would be close to our location, that's no issue either.
We prefer the EPCOT resorts better because of its location and ease to most all of the parks. ...all but AK that is... But it works well for us.

The old poll is currently at 44.03% for location and 34.47% for theme. As I type this, our current one is 54.39% for location and 61.40% for theme.

It's interesting to me that theme seems to be more important this time than it was 9 years ago. Perhaps some of us are missing that old "Disney magical theme" feeling lately. I know I am after the redo of OKW.

I am not sure what is driving the high "theme" vote. I would think that things like great views would come into theming. If so, AKV and BLT would certainly qualify (AKV has great theming anyway). So maybe that's part of it, since those large resorts weren't built at the time of the last poll?

1. Room size. Prefer to keep DS14 and DD10 out of the same bed They're at the age when it's just weird for them.
2. Point cost. Somewhere between 160-185 a trip is good for us.
3. Theme/atmosphere. Well - you want pretty things, right?
4. Pool. Kids love to swim, as do us parents!
5. Location. If all the above needs are met, we're pretty well set. We've never stayed next to a park before, but we hope to next time if availability allows...we're hoping for BLT next year.
6. Restaurant. I cook 80% of the meals in the villa anyhow.
7. Parking. We rely on Disney transportation.
