POLL: How "worth it" is Chef Mickey's for Breakfast

Taking into consideration that we plan to do the following character breakfasts, how worth it is it to go to Chef Mikey's? It's out of our way (likely staying at BC), and - honestly - I prefer to do late breakfasts, which doesn't make sense if I have to go to CM and it's out of my way.

Poll is above - comments and thoughts are welcome.

Should also have added that we plan to do Crystal Palace, Akershus, Cape May and Tusker House - all for breakfasts.

I can tell you that I have not had breakfast as Chef Mickey's, but I've had several dinners there, and I enjoy the place a lot. Our kids do as well. Aside from me, my family are not big fans of breakfast. We prefer to get our TS credits used at dinner.

We did CM's for Breakfast in May 2009. Is was fun. If you are going for the experience and the characters, then it is worth it. The breakfast food, IMO, was average at best and nothing really stood out as great...

We will be trying CM's dinner on our next trip.

We enjoyed breakfast there! We just ate there on 5/13/10--DH, myself, DD, DD, and DS. All of us liked the food--and I was leary after reading some reviews prior to our trip. The place didn't seem dirty to me. (and I'm pretty picky--esp. at buffets)

We also stayed at BC and prefer late breakfasts. We treat them as "brunch" and then don't need lunch that day. We accomplished this by eating at CM on an early EMH day at MK. We got to MK around 8:30, toured until about 10:15 or so and then took the monorail to CM for our 10:45 am breakfast. Food was still hot and fresh--they were still making pancakes, etc. The characters were good. Only Pluto felt a little rushed.

Arkansan - that's not a bad idea...MK and CM are close enough that you can make that trip in 30 minutes? I've read that it's about a 15 minute trip, but I just wasn't sure...

Chef Mickey's is our fav TS breakfast. We usually do lots of breakfasts, but this year we only narrowed it down to our 2 favs, Tusker House and Chef Mickey's. Since we are going in Aug this year we want to be in the parks early in the morning before it gets too hot/crowded. The Chef at Chef Mickey's was also wonderful with DD's peanut allergy, made her whatever she wanted and gave her some things that were not out on the buffet line.

I voted for It's a lot of fun and you should do it if it doesn't put you out too much because of it's great atmosphere and a lot of people seem to think their breakfast is very good.

I was going to poll the same because I agree with this. However if you have never been there, I do think it is a must do just once. After that, great if you can. We are going to skip it this year in favor of other places, but if I had never been I would have fought for an ADR if necessary.

The food's ok/good and the atmosphere feels a little crowded and the characters are rushed. BUT you get to meet the fab 5 without standing in line and get to eat while you wait!

We enjoyed Ohana's so much more for breakfast. Chef Mickey's was our least favourite character meal. You have some great ones already that you are going to for breakfast. Cape Mays we just loved, that along with Ohana's were our favourites. But Tusker House, Crystal Palace were great too. The only one that we felt a bit let down by was Chef Mickey's.
