We really wanted the 11 night Southern, but price was just too high for us.
We kept 7 night April 30th Southern on the Magic and added the 6 night repo from San Juan to Port Canaveral.
We got 13 night and saved over $2,000......

WOW, that's a great set of back to back to back cruises!
I would've been happy with Hawaii and just the northbound Alaska cruise. However, the PVSA prohibits me from sailing from Honolulu to Seward, so I had to book the southbound cruise back to Vancouver. I'm quite happy that I get to repeat 4 ports and Hubbard Glacier, as there are plenty of things to do in most of the ports. There isn't as much to do in Hoonah (Icy Strait Point), but I will definitely book a whale watch tour on one of my visits there.

I originally booked the first week of September 7 night Western on the Fantasy 5A stateroom, at what I felt was an ok price - a little over $3,000 for 2 adults after OBB credit but we don't want a Halloween cruise (still shaking my head at Disney celebrating before Labor Day but oh well) so I switched to January 2017 but was stumped by the super high price until I realized it was a SWDAS cruise. For that same price we can do August 2017 which gives us a bit more time to pay off the cruise comfortably and that is what I ultimately booked. Will keep my eye out for January 2018 prices. Would love to switch to that timeframe if there are no SWDAS cruises to push the price ridiculously high.

Sorry, what is the PVSA?

Passenger Vessel Services Act - that some mistakenly refer to as the Jones Act. It prohibits foreign-flagged ships from transporting passengers from one US port to a different US port - without making a distant foreign port stop. You can sail one-way from Hawaii to Canada or Mexico, but you can't sail from Hawaii to Alaska or California.

Have a placeholder that we booked for may 2017. Never really intended to stay with the cruise, but waiting for more itineraries to see if we will use the placeholder at all. Definitely not using it on summer 2017! Have booked three other cruises with other lines for the next year and a half. Trying to book a fourth, but this time on carnival vista but their website isn't working for me. Anyone else running into this?

I've been saving to book Alaska for 2 years now. Did a short 3 night cruise in September thinking that getting my Gold status and the 10% OBB would pay for itself - I was correct - the price of the cruise I booked on opening day is now up $2k. We are going in August and I spent exactly what I expected.

We booked the 10 night Southern Caribbean on the first day at over $14,400 for 4 people. Then after thinking about it, we changed our minds. We found a very similar cruise a few days shorter on RCCL for almost half of the price! We just could not do it and canceled our reservation on DCL and got our deposit back. It was just WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for us this time. SO we are booked on RCCL....we have never used them and are a little nervous because we love Disney and their high standards but they priced us out this time. :( :(

We kept ours - my husband was fine with the price so we booked it on the spot. I've offered multiple times to downgrade a little and given him the savings amounts but he won't budge. He makes more than double what I do, so if he is happy... I should stop fussing and sail on! :boat:

After 13 Disney Cruises we feel it is just too expensive! $11 000 for the Fantasy cruise in June could pay our daughters university plus the exchange for Canadians, not going to happen.:( As we are not able to cruise in the off season now.Looking at RCCI and a new experience!:o

I didn't book. The prices were outrageous. And I was prepared. I booked Norway in 2015.

On DCL's opening day I booked a 12 day BI cruise on Princess. I'm paying $6800 for an extended balcony for two. On DCL this year that room priced at $14000. No thanks. I'll be canceling my placeholder.

W booked the 11 night June 28 2017 fantasy cruise that hits Aruba, etc. three cabins, two inside and one outside. Over $22,000. Which of course doesn't include getting everyone there, excursions, alcohol, Etc. We love taking the family and as long as they want to go, we grandparents will be paying. Pricey, but the memories help make up for it.

Just booked a seven-night Alaska for May 2017. Since we are quite early in season, and willing to sail oceanview without a verandah, it looks like the family of three (2A, 1 teen) can sail the week for about $3,500. That's about what I was hoping to spend - and not tremendously more than what we were quoted by Princess for a similar itinerary in a similar cabin. Our daughter, however, is still very interested in sailing Disney - and I generally prefer Dis to Princess - so we will stay DCL for now. Fingers crossed for some dry dock improvements to the Wonder before summer 2017!

I booked, even with a 10% increase from last year. This will be DS's last year in the Vibe, which he loves, so that is the main reason I'm sticking with DCL. With that said however, I have started looking at some RCCL info and if prices increase as much for 2018, we may have a different outcome then. :(

I went ahead and booked a weekender on the Dream for Labor Day weekend. It is actually $200 less than what I paid in 2014 during the first Christmas weekend...and $400 cheaper than Labor Day prices for THIS year. (5E aft corner wrap stateroom)

I also got the same exact room (but mirror image of last trip so I'll get a good view of CC when docked)...it's exactly what I wanted so I went ahead and booked. I'm happy with my decision.
