Hello! Traveling with my sister this winter.

Usually stay at HomeWood suites with my family.

As a couple pre kid we loved best western park place inn. I simply cannot stay there for the same price as one of the above mentioned hotels.

Desert inn & suites is slightly cheaper but has a resort fee. and it’s not my preference.

Anyone that has stayed at one or both of these two hotels-I’d really love your input. We would like a little time sitting by the pool or hot tub. The photos appear to have grand legacy’s by the parking lot.

I have stayed at the Grand Legacy and will actually be returning there this Thursday for the weekend. It's not the nicest hotel -- I felt there were some parts of the room that were literally falling a part. However, the price and location are great! The rooftop bar also gets very crowded, so I went up there once and immediately left. I also believe there is no room service, as I returned from a day at the park wanting a glass of wine, and the front desk sent me to the rooftop bar.

We're staying at the Hyatt House in June. If I remember, I'll come back and let you know how it is. I'm still wondering myself, so hopefully somebody will come on with real experience.

I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s new. This is my top pick. I just thought if legacy was comparable it’s a little shorter walk.

I’ve stayed at the grand legacy twice. Both times I got a premium room and both times we were impressed. We have also stayed at paradise pier once and DLH twice. We feel completely comfortable still when we stay at the Grand legacy. The staff were super attentive and legitimately cared about our stay there. The rooms we had were very clean, and nice. The first time, we had a great view of the GOTG ride. The morning grab bags were perfect for a morning snack, to get us thru until 11am.

Were you in the front building? I was considering staying there, but then I read a ton terrible reviews from people who stayed in the front building and reported that the music coming from the rooftop bar was shaking their room until late at night.

What’s in the grab bag?

Nope, we were in the rear building. We've always checked in before check in time, and never requested any particular rooms or areas. I think that specific types of rooms are perhaps in certain buildings (classic, premium, etc). I'm not sure which types of rooms are where, but I bet they they could answer that if you call. Then you could request a quiet room.

What’s in the grab bag?

It has a fruit, a granola bar, a string cheese and a bottle of water.

I'd do Hyatt House. The free breakfast will be better than the grab bag at Grand Legacy (if youre a big breakfast person that is). We stayed at Hyatt House in October for a night before our GCH check-in. Its new, nice and the staff was friendly. I liked how Walgreens was so close to grab some water and snacks too.
