Cut flowers in fall colors. Daisies even. It just screams "practical" to me.

Most guys don't think like that. They think, oooh, flowers! Don't read anything into what kind of flowers they are.

I use to get a dozen red roses every other week from DH, I got bored of them and they lost meaning so I told him to Stop... 2 weeks ago, he brought me home gladiolas

Last week DH brought home a 'Boo'-quet. A Fall/Halloween mix of fallish warm colored flowers. It was very thoughtful and the 'Boo' part is so funny!

Geez-oh-Pete, just pick on the carnations, will ya? They happen to be my favorite flower, and no, I'm not cheap! Roses gag me (something about drinking rose "scented" tea as a kid) and carnations smell so FRESH and CLEAN! I love them so much, I grow them...y'know what? They do NOT come in green or blue!

Of the two options, I'd go for the Fall centerpiece...nothing wrong with pretty and practical! Oh wait, maybe I am cheap????
