Okay, your inlaws have been staying with you for 2 months. They have serious health issues. You are the one taking care of them.

You come home to flowers.
OR
You send your wife flowers.

The card reads: Just Because

What are they?

Sorry I have to say fall centerpiece. I could get roses any old time. Fall flowers, only 1/4 of the year.... ;)

Please, no carnations. Nothing says "cheap" like a bunch of carnations!

:)

I agree carnations :crazy2:
Roses so predictable -
and the fall pumpkin centerpieces are usually SOOO pretty!
so you don't like it :(
I sorry
but beter than that the INLAWS are GONE!

I'd say one heck of a guy, no matter what he sent. It came from the heart.

I would prefer the roses. It's an extravagance that you would not usually give to yourself.

I'd much prefer a live house plant, but would appreciate whatever anyone chose to send me. Hint, hint, DH ... :flower:

Any token would be appreciated here, but I love fall flowers. As someone else posted, you can only get these 1/4 of the year and I like to have something pretty that represents the season. :flower3:

Roses have never been my favorite flowers. I like them, I understand the popular "meaning" behind them, but I don't get too caught up that everyone says I "should" want.

I love Fall, love the colors and the "feel" and everything about it.

I'd also probably be happy that my DH noticed and appreciated what I had been doing, even if perhaps he didn't pick exactly the flowers I wanted. It is the thought that counts. ;)

This is so true!! They remind me of going to the prom - my corsage from my cheap date! :rotfl2:

Only upside to carnations is that they last forever! Not that you want them to...

You my dear are a saint. ;) You deserve a nice dinner out, a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure/massage, AND a dozen roses.

I thought carnations are for funerals :confused3

I'd go for the fall centerpiece, but I really like autumn colours. Maybe your DH thought that roses would be too predictable and he wanted to get you something special?

 I would choose the fall arrangement, too. Straight up roses are not me. Roses in a beautiful arrangement are!

Actually, it's nice he thought of anything at all. I know my DH wouldn't have.:flower3:

I'm allergic to roses and everyone close to me knows it.

If someone sent me roses, I'd seriously have to question their motive... :smooth:

Great thoughts everyone. THe thought actually came from his best friend. He found out that inlaws were still at the house, and he said to DH: "Have you sent your wife flowers??? You better" So he did.

I do appreciate the thought, really, but "here is a pumpkin arrangement "just because"...what, we needed one?

Cut flowers in fall colors. Daisies even. It just screams "practical" to me.
