Poll - Dec or Jan Trip

Okay - My DH said the dates are up to me. We can go 12/10 to 12/18. Pro's: MVMCP, decorations, weather usually nicer. Or we can go 01/7 to 01/17: Pro's: I am always depressed when the holidays are over. This gives me something to look forward to. What would you do?

I haven't been either time, but I would go with January. I get depressed after the holidays too, so a trip to Disney would be a great pick-me-up. Although then you might be doubly depressed after the holidays and Disney are over! LOL!

I would go in December. If you haven't done MVMCP, CP, seen the decorations, etc. you don't know what you're missing. If you have been there in December, you already know how great it is.

Of course to be wishy-washy, there's nothing like a vacation after the holidays are over.

I've been in both months, about those times, and I agree-that's a tough choice. But then, I'd probably be trying to figure a way to do both! If you go to Disney often, December is so unique and has so many additional offerings. However, if you don't go often, I'd lean towards January-definitely. I think you get more of the pure Disney feel then.

I think that you should go in Dec. The magic at that time with all of the holiday activities and decorations it just great.

I went without my family last year ( it was a last minute offer from my DB)and was so touched by everything that I am taking the entire family this year to see everything and to go to the MVMCP.

Whatever you chose, the crowds shouls be small and you will have a great time.

Thanks everyone who responded. We go in December every year and I just love Disney during the holidays. I have never been there in January. Guess we better decide soon. I have been waiting for weeks for AP rates. If we decide to go in January, I guess the wait for AP codes will be even LONGER.

Oh, Sherry8253...Go the first week of January, right after New Years. That way, all the decorations are still up, AP rates are grrrrrreat, crowds are low and weather A-OK! Also, we will be there then and we could meet for coffee or a drink.

We always go in early January - heading down on 1/4 through 1/15 in '05. We expect many of the holiday decorations to still be up when we arrive but as I recall, most will disappear by 1/10.

Still, one of our favorite times to go and really helps break up the winter and something everyone looks forward to after the holidays.
