Poll.

bonnet Creek or All Star Disney resorts or vote off if you'd prefer off off site.

Technically, Bonnet Creek IS offsite. It's an area and not a particular resort. It includes the Waldorf Astoria, Wyndham Grand Orlando and timeshare at BC and Hilton Orlando at BC.

To clarify for the OP, Bonnet Creek is on Disney's property, but it's not an "on-site" resort.

My vote is for Wyndham Bonnet Creek. It's where we are planning to stay for our multigenerational trip next year.

We stayed at WBC in October. I'd never want to cram into a tiny hotel room just to have Disney bus service and EMH (that we never use) If you can live without the "onsite perks" stay at WBC. We loved it.

from what I've heard,Bonnet Creek is amazing. All stars is,a value. IS there a difference in price? Onsite is so nice, but Bonnet Creek has way better amenities,so I hear!

We are choosing to stay at a DTD hotel this next trip. If you have any other choice that you would be satisfied with besides all star music I would choose that. We liked POR and we loved the POLY but to my family ASMU felt like a motel 6 plopped down in the center of a mall on a Friday night.

I would choose the Waldorf Astoria. :p But I don't think that it's a fair comparison to any Disney value resort and I don't think that you would save any money by staying there. However, it is a gorgeous resort and if you have HiltonHonors points, it can be worth the splurge to stay a night or two.

Comparing Bonnet Creek to All Start Resorts is like comparing Hilton to Days Inns, a Lexus to a Yugo, WDW to Gator Land.

You'd be surprised Marionnette. We stayed at the waldorf off season (August) one year, Dh and I for a long weekend trip sans kiddies. I think the rate was maybe 30 a night more than for a value.

I'll never stay at a value again. There ok but for what is available off site, makes no sense for my family. Ain't that much disney magic in the world.

I'm thinking of a trip in August and I got a rate of 160 bucks a night, which includes access to spa and fitness center, internet access, golf access and a few other Adult goodies (2 cocktails).

The only thing I'm not liking about it now is that they are starting to charge those "resort" fees like Vegas. hate those. so the true cost is 200 bucks a night (taxes included) which is probably around disney moderate rate.

Standard room at the Caribbean beach resort for the same week in August start at 164.00 weekday (weekend days jump up to 179.00) Don't let the name Waldorf scare you, they are staying very competitive to the area.

not really. not really at all. Most people who stay at BC , stay at ASR. Google that.

I agree it's apples to oranges. Two totally different experiences. I vote BC because of the amenities and room size.

I was wondering what size party you have and ages of party. My family LOVES ASMu!! I've stayed at many onsite locations and a few off site. Our last trip was with my 82 year old mom and I knew that ASMu wasn't condusive for this particular stay, due to mom not having a comfortable place to rest (chair) and such,so we rented points at OKW. It was beautiful, but we missed what some folks has desccribed as the Value ammenities. The culture of the ASMu is part of what we love and expect on a trip to Disney. That'sjust us. Other than a dip in the pool, and heads on our pillows at night, we don't spend toomuch time at the resort when we are not traveling with my mom.
So I may be in the minority here, but depending on your party size, age and plans for touring, I could easily say ASMu.

We had a almost 5 year old and a 6 month old and 3 adults. We always thought we were just "a place to rest your head " kind of people until we stayed at ASMu and the "culture" there.

I can only answer your poll based on our family preferences. We've never stayed at the All Stars because we just don't enjoy that type of accommodation.
Small rooms, small beds, and only one bathroom.

I voted Bonnet Creek because we are "like room to spread out" kind of people.

Can you provide a link? My Google skills must be seriously impaired today because I can't find any online source to support your claim.

In my opinion, which is the only one that counts for me, the resorts in Bonnet Creek cannot be compared to any of the Disney Value Resorts when it comes to amenities and the level of service. It's like asking if someone prefers hot dogs or sirloin steak. You can't Google that, because it's my opinion. :smooth:

I want to explain my reasoning for voting for a value. We are a family of 5 and my kids are getting older. Baby is now 8, oldest 14. We decided to try BC last summer for a 10 day trip because I thought it would be nice to spread out and we were driving so we would have a car. We pulled up to the resort and were IN LOVE with the beauty of the grounds and amenities offered. We got to the room and again we were in love. We thought we would never again stay "onsite". We are a family that has stayed at POR 2x, ASMu with 2 rooms, Pop, and CSR. We unpacked and got ready for a long deserved resort day after a 13 hour drive. Went to eat and they could not feed my daughter on a gluten free diet. We went to 3 different restaurants in the hotel and each manager sent us someplace else. It would have been nice if they checked for us instead of just sending us on our way. Resort is big and we were walking and hungry. Finally got in the car and drove to CBR where she could eat anything she wanted. Second night, decided to have pool time. We got to the pool area and there are no life guards. May not be a big deal but in a busy season it also means no security or babysitters (if you know what I mean). So many adults were at the bars or in their cabanas and not watching their kids. Kids were running and jumping off things that were not meant to be jumped off of. Even my kids were horrified. Bus service does not run until park closing so forget watching the parade or fireworks. If you miss the scheduled bus, there is not one to take you back to the hotel. You are left to cab it. We found bus drivers to be nasty, asking guests to get off the bus. Hotel staff was pushy in selling time share. On our last day, they knocked on our door at 7am to make sure we were up, check out is either 10am or 11am. I stayed up really late the night before to pack and clean before leaving. We had a huge drive home, I was NOT happy. In all my stays at Disney I have never experienced any of these things. So besides a place to lay your head and store your stuff, you are paying for the service that you get at a Disney hotel. Service is not provided at BC.

Bonnet Creek is not located on land Disney ever owned. It's offsite and off property.

I haven't stayed at either one, so take this FWIW, but we will never again stay in a hotel room with the 5 of us if we can help it, so if given a choice of those two, I would choose BC.
