Sorry...Thought it was funny...Had to share :teeth:

I thought it was funny too. Just think we get to have this for four more years. This is great! I just love Bush. :teeth:

Get the facts straight.

None of the individuals in the latest slime-ball ad served with Kerry. They were on other swift boats.

The men who served with Kerry were on the podium with him at the convention and who campaign for him.

And frankly, why are you Republicans so afraid of Michael Moore? Unfortunately for George Bush, he really did continue to read about a "magic goat" after he had already been told "America is under attack". Can't call that one a fabrication.

Funny, I can't imagine Dwight Eisenhower doing that, nor could I imagine Ronald Reagan doing the same.

Btw, Farenheit 911 has made over $100,000,000. So much for Rush (the candy man) Limbaugh's prediction the movie would not be a blockbuster.

You tend to become more defensive when you know that you are losing the argument based on facts and not fiction. Unfit for command (fact), farenheit 911 (fiction):teeth:

"...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas."

"The American people wants a president that
appeals to the angels..."

"Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do
it, that's trustworthiness."

"As governor of Texas, I have set high standards for our public
schools, and I have met those standards."

"We'll let our friends be the peacekeepers and the great country called America will be the pacemakers."

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."

"I think if you know what you believe, it makes it a lot easier to
answer questions. I can't answer your question."

"Mr. Vice President, in all due respect, it is—I'm not sure 80
percent of the people get the death tax. I know this: 100 percent
will get it if I'm the president."

Just trying to add a little humor. I'm sorry I couldn't resist. The things he says are just SOOO funny.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just a bump, I want to make sure all those who were so quick to accept this crap see this and have an opportunity to comment.

Hopefully this will put a dent in their book sales. This was nothing more than a bunch of losers who saw a chance to get rich quick. At least one of them still has a little honor left and is willing to admit what he did.

Michael Moore is a saint compared to this bunch.

So, which story is the REAL truth? The one that he signed his name to the first time for Kerry would get his award, the affidavit he signed, or the one he's telling now?

Obviuosly, the guy's proven himself to be a liar.

But, you're willing to accept whatever he says now just because it makes Kerry look good.

That's so sad.

It's really pretty simple. I discount anything he says. As you say, he's a liar. Then again, there are plenty of people who actually participated in the event that say Kerry's version is the truth.

I'll take the word of those who were really involved and have nothing to gain over those who weren't and are trying to sell a book.

I also have the government to confirm the facts. The silver star isn't just given out because someone wants you to have it. The incidents are fully investigated before any awards are given.

No, I am actually still willing to take the word of the men who actually served on the same boat as Kerry as the truth. The fact that one of the detractors has recanted just makes the LIE all the more visible for what it is. Oh, and if you watched the news this morning, they showed clips of a couple of the detractors standing right beside Kerry in the mid 90s with nothing but words of praise for the senator then.

Care to take another guess at what is sad?

Not of great consequence...but entertaining nonetheless.

In Taylor, Michigan, John Kerry Said:

''We just came from Bowling Green, and I was smart enough not to pick a choice between the Falcons and the, you know . . . all the other teams out there. I just go for Buckeye football, that's where I'm coming out."

Well, did you know that the author of this Boston Globe article also wrote the campaign book, "Kerry-Edwards" and also a Kerry Biography book. He is not exactly an unbiased reporter.

This is what the Swift Boat soldier has to say today about this Boston Globe article:

"Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in today’s edition of the BOSTON GLOBE by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that the ad be played.

If the likes of Whoopi Goldberg can toss out untruths about Bush, seems to me that people who actually served with Kerry should be able to speak their mind as well. Where's their right to the 1st?
1 - If you can't figure our why this is disgusting, then I guess you also had no problem with the entry into the moveon competition comparing Bush to Hitler right ? Nah...You wouldn't have thought that...that would have been hypocritical :rotfl:

2 - Whoopi made a pun out of Bush's last name, she didn't "toss out untruths" about him. That's right....a comedienne made a dirty joke...Better call your congressman

As for the "master of redirection"...I posted a funny verbal blunder the president made, and two neocon posters turned it into a Bash Kerry fest. Blam them, not me.

Me too....Where are all the glowing reports from bush's glorious military service?

Back on topic....

More bushism's to ponder....

LOL! That's probably one of the few times in my life someone has said I'm defensive. On the offensive yes, but if you want to say "defensive", as we used to say in NY, it's a free country.

So are you disputing that none of the "Swift Boat Veterans Against Kerry" were on his boat? Are you disputing that the "band of brothers" that were on the podium really served with Kerry on the swift boat?

And to carry on, Farenheit 911 has made over $100,000,000 and Limbaugh did indeed say the film was not going to be a blockbuster. Are you disputing any of that?

Going back to my post about Farenheit 911, are you saying that wasn't George Bush reading about a "magic goat" for 7 minutes after he was told "America is under attack".

Well, what an interesting turn of events. So if it wasn't George Bush, who was it? Are you disputing that was George Bush?

I'm waiting for you to tell me where I'm losing the argument on facts.

Now, I will agree that it was pure speculation on my part as to whether or not Dwight Eisenhower or Ronald Reagan would've read a story about a "magic goat" while the country was under attack.

But, yanno, something tells me the Supreme Allied Commander would've done something different if he was told the country was under attack. And even the fact that I was no great fan of Ronald Reagan, something tells me he would've done something different than George Bush.

But, like I said, it's a free country and will be long after George Bush is nothing more than a bad memory.

So, exactly what facts are you disputing in my post?

So this guy WROTE a glowing report on Kerry 40 years ago; stood beside Kerry in 1996 and praised his service; gave a negative quote to the writers of the book; recanted his negative statement; and today his wife ( not him ) said he stood by his original statement, and we are supposed to take anything he says seriously? Sorry, there is not enough koolaid for that one.

And people might want to look up what the co-author Jerome Corsi has to say about Islaam, Muslims, Catholics and Jews. I would quote him here, but everything out of this guys mouth would be a banable offense, not just here, but anywhere.

Okay, I'm confused by this.

I thought we'd established in other threads that the movie did not show the entire 7 minutes, only "1 or 2".

And we established that the teacher who was there stated that there was "a lot more going on" during those 7 minutes than what the movie showed.

And there were those on this board who admitted that they did not, in fact, know what happened during the 6 or 7 minutes that weren't shown. (A critical point since it's a proven fact that Moore's film cuts and pastes to remove and distort context.)

Are you saying it shows the entire 7 minutes? You saw the whole 7 minutes and know for a fact that the 6 or 7 minutes Moore doesn't show you are exactly like the 1 or 2 minutes he does show you?

Some golden oldies...

"If you don't stand for anything, you don't stand for anything!" —George W. Bush, Bellevue Community College, Nov. 2, 2000

"They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it's some kind of federal program." —George W. Bush, Nov. 2, 2000

"It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it." —George W. Bush, Reuters, May 5, 2000

And my personal favorite....

"Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?" —George W. Bush, Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000

And just yesterday at a unity conference:

When asked what tribal sovereignty means for Native American tribes in the 21st century.

"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities," Bush replied.

"you can't say 'nuclear', that really scares me.."

a joke, of course, but the President's command of English....it's sad.

Obviously, it was a misrepresentation. But, I cannot concieve of any reason why he would stay in the classroom instead of making a polite, but quick exit. Also, as I recall, he went into the classroom knowing about the first plane crashing into the WTC (a widely known terrorist target).

Was I the only one that assumed at was a terrorist attack when the news broke about the plane crashing into the WTC....the second one just nailed the assumption.
