Policy changes for FOTL for hotel guests!!??

Family of 14, I didn't receive a response from the RPH either. Maybe the hotels were forwarding all complaints to guest services. Did anyone get a reply from their hotel?

I sent the same letter voicing my disappointment to Universal guest services, and that one was answered with the same form letter everyone else is getting.

I am the opposite...I did get a response (via e-mail) from RPH, but I have not received a response from Guest Services. The only thing that RPH said was that they did not know how long this policy would be in effect for, and that I should contact Guest services for more info. So, I doubt anyone will be getting any info. from any of them that we haven't already heard. Of course, I personally, have had time to adjust to the new policy and am fine w/it now, so it doesn't even matter to me anymore anyway.

SpideyHulk24, where did you get that info? I called RPR guest services on monday and the woman wouldn't give me a straight answer:rolleyes: I have a free night from Loews latest promotion and was thinking of using it late Aug, early Sept. It has to be used by Sept 30. Thanks for the info :D

I received a letter from RPR concierge(rprconcierge@loewshotels.com) and one from Darlene at guest services. They both said nearly the same thing.

FYI, at the bottom of the message from Darlene it said:

What's the big secret? Seems like they are sending out the exact same email to everyone...

wow
i am not going to tell my son about this,he will be so disappointed
about it.We will be going in Nov.so maybe it will be over by then.
That is the reason i stayed at RPR was to have the special priviledge of fotl.I guess we will have fun but hope it does not stay this way. Thanks for the info!!

Thats a standard disclaimer notice most businesses use for their emails. We use one here at work, I know it by heart. Nothing to be concerned with.

Just got back from our 3 day 4 night stay at the RPR. We never had a problem with the FOTL perk. It seemed the only place the employees were scanning tickets was on the Mummy.

For the most part we really didn't do that much re-riding with our Express. Except for Wednesday night. We rode the Mummy 4x back to back and then Rode MIB about 4x back to back. This was after 7pm though.

I was there July 10-14 and it was not being enforced. If you get there at park opening, you can ride many rides with no wait anyway. The Mummy was the only place where my key was scanned and that was only 1 of the many times I rode it.

I did receive a response from Guest Services at US to my email regarding the FOTL changes.. and no notice to those of us who recently booked our summer stays....etc.... I did post a thread with the reply.. but in a nutshell... it says that some restrictions were lifted on July 14... and ALL restrictions will be lifted on August 16... I called to verify... and was told that the number of rides was reduced on July 14.. but they had no knowledge of the August 16 date.... Hmmmmm... lack of communication perhaps!.. But I have it in writing! The lovely woman at guest services gave me the newly revised list of rides affected.. and it is only a total of 10 between the 2 parks....... so.. things are looking up!

If they reduced the number of rides restricted on July 14, which ride will be restricted until August 16th? Anyone know?

According to US Guest Relations the rides restricted until 8/16 are:
Shrek
Mummy
MIB
Back To The Future

Spiderman
Hulk
Jurrasic
Dudley
Cat In The Hat

That is all of em!

Kathy

Well jeeze, what was restricted before July 13? That is just about all of them!

Sorry if this is a duplicate question, but is it the general consensous that after Aug 16th this policy is not longer in effect?

Thanks in advance.

Woohoo, we don't arrive until 8/23 anyway, so this works out for us. Thanks for the update Kathy!:teeth:

TigerLilly's mom, I wondered this too. Originally there were only 10 attractions affected so I can't see that any restrictions have been lifted on July 13.

I said the same thing to the rep who was giving me the info.. seems the only ride NOT listed on the "new" list was Popeye.. so.. whatever.. but for those folks going after 8/16 it is good news... and from the reports of people who have just returned.. it is not that bad.... actually.. not bad at all... so.. go.. enjoy... smile... have fun.. that's what it is all about!

They would be able to do this even without FOTL passes the first couple of hours after park opening. I do it all the time.

Lines for MIB were 90 minutes yesterday and yet I saw hotel guests using FOTL to re-ride even then. This change was supposed to have taken place on July 1, yet the employees there haven't been told and they are not scanning passes there at all.
LOL...I was there from July 8~July 13...using AP's with FOTLA, and NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS!! Everyone enjoy! I asked, and was told this was for the Express Plus passes people purchase. So, we'll see! ::yes::
