Police: 'Spitting' Teen Shocked With Taser At Disney

Yeah I wonder what the parent's response was too. I'm glad the police were involved. This kind of stuff annoys me so bad.

I am very impressed with the professional control and state of mind that the police officer had. If I had 5 people rush me and start punching, I don't think I would have had the state of mind to grab the non lethal taser, I would have used other tools that are on the on the officers belt. (9mm)

1 or 2 of those kids really could have been banned for life.

The officer said that he used the taser on the girl and the rest immediately calmed down, but I wonder if he used the taser, then drew his sidearm.

Dropping one member of an attacking mob usually just incites them to more violence, especially if they are all intoxicated, but drawing a deadly weapon can make them all sober up real quick.

I hope they all get jail time for this. Unruly behavior in the parks is one thing, but these kids assaulted a police officer - that deserves some time in the clink.

I would have loved to see the response of the CM's -no doubt creating a human chain to keep the violence in a designated area.. I know there was probably some form of emergency procedure plan enacted .. like
CODE HOOK ! CODE HOOK ! :scared1:

I cringed when I read Long Island. I'd love to know what town those idiots are from.
What disgusting behaviour. :sad2:

DBF sent me this link this morning and told me to be careful not to get spat on when I'm in WDW next month...it's so disgusting!

I have a question. Do the Cms at the gate have the right to deny someone entry if they seem to be under the influence? Or do they have to let pretty much anyone in who pays for a ticket?:confused3

I'm glad no one was seriously hurt!

The general rule is that private establishments like Disney have the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason not considered discrimination under state or federal law. And there's no law prohibiting discrimination against drunk folks. ;)

I hate when people spit on the ground. I encounter it on a daily basis on my college campus and parking lot. :( I understand phelm can build up in your throat (ew!) but please use a trashcan or napkin to rid yourself of it. No one wants to walk in it. I don't want to track it into my home or hotel room. :headache:

I googled this story and found that they were so unrulely the security officers called the police. Then they attacked the police which is why the taser was used. Where were their parents? I can't imagine kids this young (14 - 19) traveling from NY to Disney without the financial support of adults.

the two adults were their parents and were also spitting with them! Wow this story is pitiful. It makes us teens look bad.

as a 20 year old from new york, let me just say, most of us are kind, considerate and respectful. but like someone else said, there are bad apples everywhere. and to those more ignorant (i dont mean here, i mean in general the people who read this article) this is going to make NYC look worse. ugh. im offended.

I doubt the 19 and 20 yr olds were the parents of the 14, 16 and 17 yr old unless they really have puberty at a young age on Long Island.

I just, for the life of me, can't imagine what possessed these people to act so stupidly. I mean why would anyone just start randomly spitting on people.

Besides Stitch is the only one allowed to spit on anybody at Disney.

You know? It makes you wonder if they had just come out of that silly Stitch attraction and were simply imitating it. Not that that makes it okay, but maybe it would be reason enough to finally do something else with that space. (Sorry.... I'm rambling. Don't mean to hijack the thread.)

Little by Little we can change the world if we just check/wait on the facts before rushing to comment.

No doubt the kids got the booze before they entered the park, the MK does not serve any.
