Points Use Question

We have 400 points with a Dec. Use Year. At 11 month mark we made a 325 point reservation for 11/2022. We later made a 150 point reservation for Mar. 2022 that borrowed 75 points from 2022. We now realize we will not be able to use Nov. 2022 reservation and cancel it such that 325 points are returned to 2021 Use Year. Are we able to return the 75 borrowed points to 2022 and use our now available 2021 points?

Once points are moved they cant be moved back. So you currently have 475 points in 2021 use year. You should be able to call MS and have them allocate the borrowed points to the 11/22 trip, you still end up with 475 points in 2021 but you could now bank the 150 left in 2021 still that have not been banked or borrowed previously.

Borrowing is a final transaction so those can not be moved back. Since they are already in the March 2022 reservation, you can just bank the 2921 UY points freed up from canceling the November 2022 trip.
