Sent a PM earlier. Here is my situation:
Looking to go to the Grand Floridian in November 2019 and stay in a 1-bedroom with my family. Need 268 points for that. Bought a 160 point contract that only has 102 points in 2019. Was told a few times this would not be an issue. 102 2019 points +160 borrowed 2020 points plus I can buy up to 24 points a year from Disney and I only need 6....
Finally got my membership number and went online to do some research on this (can't actually book until 11 months out this December). Learned today that the 'up to 24 points' I can buy from Disney are only good 7 months out not 11. Going to Disney during Jersey week next year, so there is virtually a zero % chance I can book a 6 day vacation and hope the last day is available 7 months out. I relied on what I'm now being told was bad information, and apparently
DVC views this as a training opportunity for their cast members but there is nothing they are willing to do to help me, so not sure what to do here. I apparently only have one option - find another VGF member willing to transfer 6 VGF points into my account that will be good November 2019 (and available for me to book with this December).
