Points Transfer question

I have 50 points that I will not be able to bank or use before they expire. What is the best way to make use of these points? I really don't want to get involved in rent points and don't really understand how a point transfer works. Can someone explain what is involved in a point transfer?

I think it depends on when your points expire.... if they are going to expire soon - then you may have a problem. Also, if you can not bank them, does that mean they are borrowed? If so - they can not be transferred.

I have had points transferred into my account and it was as easy as a phone call. The other member got my DVC # and called MS and had the points transferred.

Why can't you bank them? If it's because they're already banked from a previous UY, or borrowed from a later UY, then you can't transfer them. Banked/Borrowed points cannot be transferred.

Or is it because you're past banking deadlines? If that's the case you can still transfer them.

If your points aren't in a holding account and another DVC member can use them for a reservation before they expire - then you can tranfer them to the member. That's best done on the rent/trade board. If you need more help, pm me and I can actually give you a couple of other tips - that probably don't belong on this thread. I just did the same for two members this past week.
