Points that were transferred from my brother's account to mine don't show up in mine?

My brother transferred points through MS today from his account to mine. We are both on line (different ends of the country) trying to put in our vacation request & it shows that they were transferred from his account but they do not show in mine anywhere.

I have 4 different contracts & they are not under the contract that the CM said they would be, nor are they anywhere else.

Is there a holding period or something? The CM said we were all set to make the ressie.

We often transfer points from a smaller contract that we own (different UY, same resort), and they show up as being transferred out, but not transferred into the other account.

When points are transferred into your account, they are placed into a 'virtual' contract so that they maintain their original 'home resort' and 'use year' status. 'Virtual contracts' are only visible to CMs at Member Services.

After you transfer the points from one contract to the other, can you combine the points so that you can use points from both for one night? I remember reading that in making a reservation, you can't pay for one night using points from both contracts. Does that apply when you transfer?

Once transferred, the additional points are all in one contract and may be used for reservations based on their Home Resort status. If you had 2 points remaining in your contract and needed 11 for one night's stay, you could use 9 points from a transfer to make the reservation. If the transferred points are not from the same Home Resort as your own points they can be combined only at 7 months.

that's awesome. I have been looking for another small BCV contract and am getting frustrated trying to get my use year. I think getting a different use year won't be a major problem if I could make the transfer every year. Thanks!
