Points Swap?

Anyone ever hear of a Beach Club owner and a Poly owner, For Ex. Swapping 11 month windows.

Requires being on the same page in valuing the points.

It's been discussed, but virtually never works out. Much more practical to rent your pts and use the cash to rent what you want.

True, you can't use a transfer on both sides. (I guess unless you transfer from different UYs, maybe.)

I do know people in real life that did this (essentially a double rental). But they knew each other really well for a long period of time...

You can make reservations for each other and then the one that uses more points transfers the difference to the other party. Or you can do the transfers in different use years. It's cumbersome (IMO) either way and as chalee94 posted, requires a lot of trust.

I don't see this much diff that renting points - Which I did before buying in. Just put in the other parties names. Get a minimal contract in place. Boom 11 month booking window.

I could do it as I have two memberships/UY. I have wondered about this. Would love to do it with a trusted DVC member. I have many small contracts though. So I wonder if someone wanted my 125 HHI points, but they are in 50, 50 and 25 point contracts, would that be considered 3 transfers or could it all be transferred together as 1? Would like a trip to Vero next year, instead of HHI.

If they are in separate contracts and member numbers, it would be three transfers. You could do that out, but the other person could not get three transfers in. If they are just split up contracts in the same UY and resort and one membership, you could do it.

Yep, those 3 are in my Aug UY. We also have June UY
