Here's a question for you points experts! Say I have 200 points at OKW, and 100 points at Aulani. I'm planning a trip to Aulani in 2012. It will cost, say, 400 points. Will I be able, if I bank all of my 300 2011 points, to book at Aulani at 11 months out for a 2012 trip (will have 600 points then, 400 at OKW and 200 from Aulani? Or can I only use Aulani points at 11 months out, and therefore would be 200 points short? (These points are examples only). Thanks for your help in advance.

For a vacation at Aulani, you can only use Aulani points 11 months out. Points from different home resorts can be combined starting at the 7 month point.

The 11-month window should really be called the "home resort POINTS booking window" rather than the "home resort booking window". You have to have enough Aulani POINTS to book there 11 months out. Also, when you bank or borrow points, they don't change their stripes. Banked OKW points are still OKW points and cannot be used anywhere else 11 months out.

You don't even have to be an owner at a particular resort to book there 11 months out. I don't own an Aulani contract but could arrange with an Aulani owner to have Aulani points transferred into my account and use those points to book Aulani 11 months out.
