Points question / OTU points question

Hi. I booked two BWV resort view studios in October 11 months out. I only had enough point for 6 nights in each studio at the time. At 7 months out I booked one night for two Boardwalk view studios using some OTU points. BW view studios were available but resort view was not. I then waitlisted those nights for the BWV resort view studios which has since come through. The Boardwalk view studios are 20 points a night and the resort view are 17 points so I should have had 6 points put back in my account right? In any case no points were put back in my account. Any idea why?

Is the reservation for a September check-in date? If so, are the points in your Holding account?

One-time use points do not (or at least, might not) show up in your Dashboard, but they are there. Try making a reservation for something else, and you will see that there is an "extra" contract with your remaining OTU points.

If you have these, and your existing "non-home" BWV reservations collectively use more than 12 bankable points, you can "modify" the booking to use the OTU points first, then the remaining bankable points.

To add, any modification to a trip that is less than 31 days to swap points will put the freed up points into holding.

Thanks! I think this is the issue you decsribed for sure. I know 6 points is not alot but can make a big difference sometimes.
