Points Price Rise

Does anyone know roughly how much the average point price rise is? I know the current price is $95 per point, but that the price is due to rise on 4th June, just wondered how much they tend to put the price up each time.

Reports made here indicate that the next price increase this summer will from the current $95 per point at SSR to $98 per point. There has been no indication thus far what, if any, incentives will be offered.

There has also been no suggestion that the $89 per point price for OKW, VB, HH, VWL and BCV will change- but past history would indicate some increase for those resorts too for purchases directly thru DVC (and most likely resale prices will also increase over time).

It is weird that the price keeps going up, up, up, as the years of ownership goes down, down, down. I mean, I guess I understand it now, but someday, won't the prices stabalize?

No. in 2041, I estimate that OKW, BWV, VWL and BCV points will sell for approximately $3500-4000 per point.

There will be a maximum point where the curve tops off then starts heading south. As you say, the number of years left will be a factor; IMHO, so will the amount of new resort construction and when, if ever, Disney abandons ROFR.

Thanks for that, its a great help. Unfortunately we can't get out to buy before the points go up on 5th June so are having to wait til we go in January to buy.
