points per night for value resort?

I am just getting all of my facts together before we buy anything. So, I was looking through the info that we have about DVC, and I noticed that there wasn't anything about how many points it would be for a value resort. Is that because you can't use them? I am just curious, and not sure we would even use them for that if we could. Most of the attraction of DVC for me is the fact that we can stay at the nice resorts for a decent cost. Like I said it was more about curiosity. TIA.

There is no option for a value resort but assume it would be more points than a DVC studio if it were an option.

you cannot use DVC points for value resorts.

You can only use points for Moderates and up.

Also, you cannot use points for any resort which has an attached DVC resort. This means you can't use points at the Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk Inn, or Beach Club, but instead can only use them at VWL, BWV, or BCV.

Can use the AP discount to stay at the values.

In general, points are "best used" at DVC resorts. If you are buying to get a good price at the Poly - or even the CBR - you'll likely do better with AP discounts.
