points in holding

First time I have had this,
I had to cancel a DLR trip after a surgery and now have some points in holding.
No way can I get a DLR reservation in the short time frame allowed.
Can the points go to II? If so, how do you make sure those points go and not other ones?

You can call and beg to bank them. It's worked before.

Yes, those points can go into II. As suggested, you could call and see if they would make an exception to holding status and bank if still in your banking window.

Called today and the very nice CM put the points back in the contract they came from.
