Points given back- question

Got back points for 1 night of our stay due to some room issues (construction). They put them in 2016 (which we used 2015 and 2016 points for the trip), so that is very nice. My question is: can I bank them?

Probably. But you may want to call Member Services to find out for sure. I'd just give them a call and ask them to bank your points for you, without any explanation at all about how the refund situation.

How? I see where it says I have 50 allotted points and borrowed out 50 but have 35 remaining (the points given back). Then it says 0 allotted points left. Something like that.

It sounds like they placed them into the 2016 current year points. I would call MS and confirm. If they are considered 2016 points they should be bankable. Now the question is are you still in your banking period?

When you sign in, it should go to the MyDVCMembership page which should show one or 2 pending vacations if applicable then the Vacation Points under that. If you have more than one master contract, there's a drop down near the top, make sure you're on the correct master contract. Click on the Vacation Points then scroll down to the 2016 UY and click on the yellow plus if 2016 isn't open already. It should show the points for that year and how many are available to bank.
