Points for Rent: 289 +/- $10 per point any resort

We are looking to go down Jan 27-31, 2009. I have never dealt with DVC points before. How many points would it take and do you have enough left. We would probably look at a studio or a 1br, depending on the cost.

I do have enough points. A studio at VWL is 58 pts, a 1BR is 111 for your dates. I don't know if VWL is where you would want to stay, I can book anywhere there is availabilty. If you're interested, let me know.

Sorry I meant to add this to my last reply, but could I reserve 90 points for sure as that would cover a studio at AKV with SV room 2 ngts(26pts); studio at Wilderness 2ngts(26pts); and studio at Saratoga Springs 2ngts(38pts with one ngt on the Friday). Then we could work out the dates tomorrow as to what is available?

Yes this helps. We are intersted in booking 2 nights at AKV; 2 nights at Wilderness and 2 nights at Saratoga Springs for May 2009. I will confirm the dates tomorrow if these are still available. Is the studio suitable for two adults and two young children? Is there any place to purchase groceries near the resorts? Thank you so much for your help, much appreciated.

Happy to help . I absolutely think the studio will be comfortable for 2 adults & 2 kids. You can take the virtual tour on the Disney web-site. There are facilities to purchase groceries. VWL has them in the main building. They just have the necessities (snacks, fruit, drinks, bread, toiletries-there aren't rows of groceries). I can't imagine that SS & AKL wouldn't have them too. I can ask DVC when I check availablity tomorrow.

Hmmm. I suspect there are people better qualified to answer your question! It's so hard to know which would be "best". I can say that I think they will have fun no matter where you stay. You might do best to stay close to the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom if that's what they like. I have stayed in the Contemporary and the kids liked riding the monorail. If you need a 2 bedroom in Oct '09- I think the villas at Contemporary will be completed. That's also a really fun time for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween- FUN! Absolutely worth the extra tickets! I do (currently) have 122 points for that time.
