Points available to bank listed on web is wrong?? or is it??

We just joined dvc last month. we bought 160 SS points. We are leaving in 2 days to go to the Beach club villas for 3 nights. We have 100 points available to us for our use year of august.

When we first called MS to reserve,and was told a couple other times as well by them, i was told since we just joined, we had until april 30, 2007 to bank 100% of our points, only because we were new and just received them. Otherwise, the next years are at the standard banking times.

It has always said 0 avail to bank on the website-probably because the loan is not done yet. well today, i noticed our payment info is now listed, but it says points available to bank=80. what about the other 20 i was told we could bank? we were told we could bank all of them until april 30, now it says only 50%, or 80 until april 30th?

should i worry, or is the web just going by the standard banking rules and we can still bank them all if we dont use them.

we are still deciding-i thought until april 30-whether or not to book a stay in disneyland, ca, or bank them all remaining and use for next years wdw trip.

Your assumption is correct -- as a new member, your 100% banking window is extended but the website is showing you the amount you could bank per the standard banking rules. Since you are currently in your 50% banking window, the website displays only 80 points can be banked. So when you decide to bank those points, you will have to call MS to do it (rather than do it online). You shouldn't have any problem banking the points past the normal deadline. Just be sure you do it by whatever date they told you is your deadline for this first year.

Basically, you must call MS direct to do it so they can manually overrride the 50% banking window.

When you call be sure they realize it's a new contract.
