points and cash

I hear you can use cash along with your points so what is the value for points and example I have 150 points I need 180 to stay so I will pay the differance in cash How does that work.

You can NOT 'buy' points, you use cash to rent 1,2 3 nights what ever you need. You use points for the rest of the trip.

Others that have done this I'm sure will chime in, but to do cash and points, you book points usually for weekdays, and many link cash reservations for the weekends. Many times, it saves on points and allows you to stay longer. You can't use points and cash for the same day, so the weekday/weekend plan seems to work the best.

You can only use cash and points by using cash for so many nights and points for so many nights. For example, a 1 bedroom at OKW is 196 points for 7 nights in May. You could book Sunday to Thursday nights on points, which is 100 total and pay cash for Friday & Saturday nights, say you got a member discount of $320 per night instead of the 48 points per night. So you would use 100 points + $640 for your 7 night stay.
