Pointe Orlando 2006

For those of you staying or enjoying evenings on I-Drive, four new restaurants have been announced as part of the redevelopment of Pointe Orlando in the first half of 2006

They will be The Capital Grille, Oceanaire, Tommy Bahama’s Cafe, and B.B. King’s Blues Club.

Sounds an intersting mix. I think all oif them are part of larger US chains.

For those planning to visit specially once open from further afield, the bad news is that the Pointe is not planning upon scrapping its car parking charges anytime soon!

It cerainly needs restaurants/shops adding as it has dwindled away a bit over the last couple of years.

We found a free parking lot near Pointe Orlando if you don't mind walking about 5 minutes. It looks like a patch of dead earth and is nest to the crazy golf.

We have always parked free at the Pointe as we get our ticket validated at Dan Marinos or at the cinema. Must say we were disappointed this year to see the whole place looking so neglected.
