Point ?

If my total points needed is say 100 and I have 95 can I book and pay for the 5 points? Does it cost $10 per point needed?

You can borrow from the next year or rent points from another member. If you use points, you have to use points for the entire night. You could pay cash for other nights.

You would need to either borrow 5 points from your next UY, or find someone who is willing to transfer 5 points into your account. Simply renting won't work, as the full points for each night must come from a single account. Most people who rent their points rent for somewhere around $10/point, although the actual amount is agreed upon by the buyer and seller.

Some points systems allow you to rent directly from the system. Usually there's a max of around 20% or so. It's much the same as using FF miles for air lines. DVC does not allow that. They many allow one to get a cash room with a member discount and like those so you don't have to move rooms during your stay. If you get a room for a portion of your stay through CRO, you will not get the same guarantee.
