Point Use Question

I have some banked points from last year (June use year). I know that I need to use them before May 04, or I'll lose them. If I make a reservation for Oct. 03 and have to cancel ( before 30 days), do the points go back into my total for the year? Didn't know since they are "banked" points. We're cruising next year (on cash) and are trying to plan on how to use the points we have to (the banked ones). I know I can bank my this years points. Is this clear as mud or can anyone help me.

If you had to cancel within 30 days, the points would be placed in a holding account. You could only make a DVC reservation with the holding account points within 60 days of your arrival date.

If you cancel 31 days or more, the points are returned to you but they still have to be used by May of '04.

The points will expire May 31, 2004 if you don't use them. They cannot be banked again nor moved in any manner. (Banked points cannot be transferred)

If you cancel more than 30 days out, then it's as if the reservation had never been made. You can still use those points to make any other normal reservation.

If you cancel at 30 days or less, then the only difference between this and the above is that you can only make a new reservation that is within 60 days of the day you call.

In both cases points would need to be used by 5/31/04.

Thanks for the help! I didn't know if it made any difference since they were banked points.

Now, if we can just decide when and where - sometimes having too many good choices is too hard!
