point transfer wanted: needed (275 points)

My Fiance and I just signed up for the DVC this year and when we signed up we were under the impression that we could use our points to book a DCL vacation as long as there were staterooms available. We didn't know that it was based on DVC staterooms. We were planing on using our points for our honeymoon. (this is one of the reasons we bought into the DVC). Riverrat when is your honeymoon? Did you call DVC to check on the availability. We are getting mixed reports, some people say the Mexican Riveria is available so not sure if you are interested in that. Call DVC and ask them before you give up completely. You also can get on a "call list" of some kind. This is a new thing that started just this past Friday.

On the other hand, if you sell your points you can just pay cash for the cruise. Good luck

Thank you for the reply. I am on the call list for the cruise. I am going to try to sell my points because my fiance and I were really looking forward to the cruise to alaska on July 12th of next year. If you know anyone interested in buying my points please let me know.

I don't know about anyone wanting points. I am going to have to rent mine as well since I have a cash room booked for a Dream cruise in April that I was planning on transfering to points. I guess the best thing for all of us is to rent points. Good luck!
