Point Transfer questions.

I really dont know how this whole point transfer operates.

Is there a maximum number of transactions per year?


Background
I used to be married and we Purchased at SSR in 2005, she is now sole owner of 200 points at SSR.

I want to buy a small contract resale and then transfer points in as I find good deals to have a nice big stay.

I see points for transfer on this board, but the lower priced ones tend to be in smaller amounts, so can I perform multiple transfers per year?

During a single Use Year an owner may transfer or receive DVC points, but not both. If an owner opts to transfer any number of points out of his contract during a single UY, he/she may not subsequently receive any amount of points from another owner during the same UY. This rule is presumably designed to prevent members from bypassing the 11-month booking window by effectively trading points with another owner. Note that there is no stated limit on the number of transactions that an owner can complete in a given year (i.e., an owner could receive points from one other owner or a dozen owners in a single UY, he just cannot transfer points out in the same UY.)

Thank you so much, this is exactly the info I needed. I remember reading this when the policy change was initiated, but since I had been gone from boards for a few years I wanted to make sure what current rules were.

The rule now is that you are allowed only one transfer of points, either into your account or out but not both, during a use year. Thus, you will not be able to do it multiple times per use year and what you are contemplating will not be allowed.

k. During a given Use Year, only one (1) Transfer per Club Member or Club membership, either as
Transferee or Transferor, will be permitted.
