Point Transfer Question

I know that members are allowed one transfer of points (either in or out) of their account in any one UY and that the points transferred retain their characteristics (resort and UY). The question I have is how far in advance will MS allow you to transfer? For example, I would love to suprise my wife with a mk view at blt, where we own, for our 25th anniv. Since that doesn't happen until 2013, when would MS allow another member to transfer points to me?

As you can tell, I like to dream.

I just discovered a little earlier that you can't transfer points borrowed from a future use year, so I suppose the answer would be as soon as someone has points available for the 2013 use year.

You cannot make a reservation until 11 months or less before your travel dates so it makes no sense to have points transferred in until you get within the 11 month reservation window. Make sure the points are also BLT.

I knew about the 11 months and figured I would start asking about a month prior to being able to book (who knows, I may have been bit by add-on-itis and not need the transfer ). I will be careful that they are BLT points in order to book at the 11 months.
