Point transfer and contract sub#

If I have points transferred into my account, can I specify that they go to a sub-contract or are they treated separately from contract #'s (assuming they don't "morph" which would be cool if it happened but I'm not holding my breath)? I need to sell my main contract shortly but keep my add-on and I don't want the newly transferred points messing up an existing reservation I have using my add-on's points or any new ones I make with the newly transferred points.

I can answer line 1, you may specify which sub-contract(s) the points go into. You can even split them amoung multiple sub-contracts (to take advantage of morphing, if it still works).

While I'm not fluent in Cricketese, I can read it and get a basic understanding from the verbs used.

Yes, you can have the points transferred specifically into your add-on contract and then use those points to make reservations. If you later sell your master contract - keeping the add-on contract - any reservations and transferred points in that account will not be affected by the sale of the master contract.

As soon as you are in the system with the add-on (it will have the same contract number with a different suffix - xxxxxx.001, .002, .003) you can sell the master contract. Just make sure you still own it when you purchase the add-on - or it won't be an add-on.

The only caveat I'd add is that apparently if you have the same home resort you must put the points in that contract portion or so I've been told. Anyone have a different experience?

Same resort the transfer came from you mean? In that case I'm safe because I don't, but that would be good to know though.
