Point sale question on these boards

Other than Timeshare Users Group, (TUG), is there a place on these boards for want to buy, want to sell adds? If someone wants to sell and not use a agent, are there boards for this?

If you want to RENT DVC points, there is a rent / trade board for that specific purpose.

However if you are looking to actually sell or acquire a contract, such posts are not appropriate for these boards. You could try the Timeshare Store, which is a forum sponsor. Some people even try to do it through eBay.

I know about the rent/trade board. What I was looking for is a board, either here on DIS or elsewhere where people post what they are looking for or want to sell, and people connect and handle the transaction by themselves. I wasn't suggesting posting it here. Just wondering if other owners knew of other websites out there.

• redweeks.com but I think they've gone to $10 per year to be a member.

• dvcrent group on yahoo allows for sales listings.
• http://www.tstoday.com/ is more expensive but has printed and internet listings.
• don't forget ebay and yahoo though yahoo auctions has about died.

I'm sure I'll think of others later. The thing about selling yourself is you have to be willing to give it time and do some of the leg work yourself. One thing to consider is that some of the resale agents will do a non exclussive contract. That means if you find a buyer, you keep the entire amount. Others have an exclussive contract where you pay the broker their commision regardless. I think Shontell does non exclusive but you can check with her and the other usual ones and see. You can then adjust the price accordingly. I hope this helps.
