Point rental question?

When you rent/transfer points, I know the UY stays attached to those points. So my question is - is there a particular UY ppl prefer to rent points from?

also - does the 11 month mark hold for the resort thetransferred points were from? e.g. if you rented points from a June BWV contract, would you be able to reserve with those points at the 11 month mark from June for BWV?

Most renters wouldn't know a UY if it bit them.

And UY does not have impact on the 11 month window for booking. The points have to be available on date of use.

You just have to be careful and not make a reservation with your rented points in the last four months of your UY in case WDW shuts down again. It left a lot of owners with points they could not use. Luckily DVC allowed them to bank the points. But that might not happen in the future.

The ONLY thing I will say is that times are changing.

Renting in the start of a UY may be a thing in the future as to allow the person renting time to change their reservation. This is specifically from the thought process of no refund but you can delay your vacation up to 6 months or something.

I would also possibly charge extra for that ability to change the reservation personally as well.
