Point Error

I was looking at our vacation details and I notice that the stay we had in October is showing up 2 times for the same resort with the same dates. I will be calling member services as soon as possible but I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone.
 
I just looked at our account and see the same thing our last stay is listed twice but our point total is correct
 
I had the wrong resort listed previous, right amount of points were taken.

I think they need a better IT system.. but I would call anyway.
 
Something must be going on with the reservation system. I just checked our account yesterday ( on a whim...nothing really to check for) and discovered that our remaining points were no longer fully bankable. I watch that carefully so I knew there must have been some error.

Checking closer I discovered that I now had 5 points in holding! For some reason on October 15th, our entire vacation on Oct 20 - 27 was cancelled and re-booked. An error occurred in the rebooking. I know I didn't make any changes that close to the reservation, but now I recall that when we arrived there were no room requests on our file ( now I know why)

Long story short, I called this morning....was on hold for a while as they researched it....and they fixed the problem. They have no idea how it occurred.

You shouldn't have to, but it is wise to check on-line regularly to see that your point balances are correct. Errors do occur but I have always found that MS is very quick to correct them....but....what would have happened if it was a straight cancellation without rebooking????...don't even want to think of that possibility!!!

Wow, the exact same thing happened to me last month, only we ended up with 48 points in holding! We rented out points (using a broker) and when the renters checked in, the front desk at the CR did something to their reservation which caused 48 of our points to go into holding. Good thing I am anal and check our account online every few days. I noticed it immediatley (kinda hard not to: went from 69 bankable points to 21!) and after a brief freak out, called MS fixed the situation.

The CM also had no idea how it occurred, which is rather scary. She said anytime anyone at the resorts touches a reservation that causes points to go into holding, they are supposed to put in comments explaining what they did. There were no comments on our account. I was thankful it was fixed quickly, but not happy that it happened in the first place.
 
Very strange....

In our situation it wasn't even someone at the resorts as it was in advance of the vacation. I can't even say I called MS on that particular day.

It annoys me because, on our arrival at SSR, we hadn't received our room request. I asked them to see if they could get us into Congress Park. After a while they indicated that they could and then went into a long explanation as to how I could really make it easier for them if I just noted requests in advance.....but I did, I said....no you didn't, they said....

Now I know why that happened. I should have pursued it further then but didn't think anything of it.

No matter, it all worked out, but I will surely check the website more often from now on...an check my requests just before leaving (with MS)
