I just watched the segment again and it says " The total number of vacation points for the year will be exactly the same this year as it will b many years Later.

That is correct though. The total for the year will be exactly the same, just not 'the number of points for a particular time you might want to visit if it is less than the entire year'. Additionally, you also get the same number of points each year... So on an annual basis some things definitely are constant.

Are you possibly traveling around Easter? The weeks around that time do change from year to year so some get hit with the Premium season because of it.

For example, in 2011, April 17 - 30 is Premier season, due to Easter, but in 2012 those same dates are Magic Season.

I think this is what happened to me -
Some of my days switched to a higher point season -so i was short points
I decided to borrow and shuffle around for a couple years -as the kids schedules change I most likely will change my vacation habits to adjust for that stuff
