Poinciana anyone?

We've been "area" hunting for a few months now and today I spoke with a realtor that suggested the Poinciana area. I haven't heard much about that area so any residents please give me the scoop......good and bad

My fiance and I are going to look at a few areas in a couple of weeks. Poinciana is one of them. I've visited it before when looking to buy a vacation home. For that purpose I thought it was a little too far out to get top $$ on rentals, but as an area to live permanantly it looks to be worth consideration. We're going to check out the schools in person, IMHO looking at a website or stats on a piece of paper don't really give you much of an idea.

The general views of plus and minus seem to reasonably favourable, there are a few complaints about the area, but not in sufficient quantity to put me off going to check it out for myself.

My BIL lives in Poinciana. He loves it there, although he did get hit with a tornado during Hurricane Charley that took off part of his roof, his pool screening and some trees. I visited him once, and it was very pretty. I think it's 30-45 minutes from Disney, but I could be wrong.
