Hi
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently decided that POFQ would be the ideal resort in my price bracket for our short 3 day trip, due to the location and what we intend to do whilst there.

I would like help on deciding what category room to book. There only seems to be a "river view" upgrade, is this so? is it worth paying for?

Any links to photos of rooms and opinions on the resort would be appreciated.

We arrive on the 2nd Oct 08 and intend to eat at the Californian Grill, next day full on "Disney Hop Day" ending at Epcot, day 3 open to ideas/relax get ready for our UK flight the next day. I was deciding between POFQ and AK did I make the right choice?

Thanks in advance:thumbsup2
Debbie

A few favorite pics from our trip Dec. 2006. (going back Dec. 2008!)

We didn't pay for the water view and were very happy with our room.

Thanks for the Piccies, your room looks lovely, the resort looks very quiet? that will suit me fine if it is.

POFQ is the smallest of the Moderate resorts. For this reason, and its layout, it is relatively quiet, but nowhere at Disney is truly quiet :lmao: It is unusual to see walkways as deserted as in the previous pictures.
We liked POFQ a lot. Its small size meant that everything was a short walk away, the pool, the Food Court and the Bus Stop.
We were in Building 5 with a water view. I do not think it is necessary to pay extra for the water view. The whole resort is beautiful and quiet even if you are overlooking a garden or pathway. Since you do not have patios or balconies to sit and view the water, it really doesn't make sense to pay extra for it.
Be sure to make an ADR for dinner on your Epcot evening. We love several of the restaurants in WS. In particular we enjoy: Teppan Edo in Japan where the chef grills right at the grill in the center of your table. The tables sit 8, so you may be seated with another party. Restaurant Marrakesh in Morrocco - the restaurant is beautiful and quiet, the staff is great and the Belly Dancer and Band entertainers are fun to listen to and watch. Rose & Crown in the UK - though they seemed to have "reduced" the menu since the last time we were there. You can request patio seating (maybe a 30% chance you will get it) for an Illuminations view. Le Cellier in Canada - warm, friendly staff and good food. And on our trip in October we were pleasantly surprised by our dinner at San Angel Inn in Mexico. It gets bad reviews here, but we had a good experience. The service was perfect, the food good, and the setting very pretty.
Have a Great Trip.

We have stayed at POFQ several times and have always requested building 5. All but once we had the court yard view which is the standard view. It was a lovely view of the court yard and fountain. The walk way and river ran right beside and was a nice walk to POR. This building is also close to food court, pool, boats to DD, and laundry. We got a corner room pool view our last trip and it was also really nice. I was afraid it would be noisy becuase of the pool but we never heard a thing. I hope you like this resort as much as we do.
