Pofq vs villas

we have stayed in Pofq on both of our trips and love it. It is nice that everything is so close. And found the transportation to be easy. We always went straight from resort to park and straight from park to resort. None of the bus stop to bus stop waiting for the bus to fill. However, as we contemplate another trip in 2017, we are considering a change. We will be traveling with a five year old (she has been before) and an 18 month old.

We are considering renting a DVC villa through a timeshare rental company. I am leaning towards the cheaper end like AK, OKW, or SSR. The idea of extra space and a kitchenette is appealing...

but I've read about crowded buses, loooooong walks to pools, etc. is the extra space worth it?

I am not even sure what other questions to ask.....

Can anyone offer me any guidance or suggestions?

The buses from SSR, OKW and AKV are no more crowded than the buses from POFQ. The resorts you mention ARE much bigger than POFQ, but no worse than the other moderates. The space for a studio will not be significantly greater in most cases than a standard room at a moderate; the kitchenette is the main upgrade.

Larger resorts like OKW will have multiple stops before heading to the park, depending on which building you are in. If you are thinking studio instead of 1BR, you will have a microwave, mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker and a small sink in the kitchenette area. (1BR has a full kitchen.) a deluxe resort will have different restaurant options that also may be of interest to you instead of the food court like you have at POFQ. If you look for a DVC villa that is walking distance to a park (BLT, BCV, BWV), even easier to take little ones back for a nap.
